latebuyer Posted December 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2023 Bar harbour is still listed as a port for norwegian cruises in 2025. I thought cruise ships were no longer allowed to go to this pirt?
Rare 1025cruise Posted December 26, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2023 There is still fighting going on over the restrictions the town of Bar Harbor wishes to implement.

I thought cruise ships were no longer allowed to go to this pirt? Hi, we were in Bar Harbor on a cruuse in October on Sky ship which is quite large. We berthed behind one of the islands just off the coast and were tendered in which took about 25 minutes. Only ship in port that day. Don't know if that makes a difference. Ahhh, the old "hide behind an island" trick! That won't fool the Downeasters for long but a smart move!
Rare 1025cruise Posted December 28, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2023 Yeah, they make the ships anchor out behind Bar island. The tenders dock by the Harborside, not at the town pier. The issue is whether or not Bar Harbor's desire to restrict cruise ships will stick.
