This will be our 6th cruise since it restarted! Two on Celebrity, two on Disney, and one on Royal and Virgin Voyages each. We will be going on the Oasis on the February 4th Eastern Caribbean and Perfect Day cruise. At CocoCay we will be having a Hideout Cabana in the new Hideaway Beach, not sure what to expect yet, but we're very excited! Day 1 - Depart Miami Day 2 - Nassau, Bahamas (Might go to the new port and check that out, but will stay on the ship otherwise) Day 3 - Perfect Day at Cococay (Hideout Cabana in the new Hideaway Beach!) Day 4 - At Sea (Chef's Table!) Day 5 - Labadee, Haiti (Suite Area and Mountain Coaster!) Day 6 - Falmouth, Jamaica (Green Grotto Caves!) Day 7 - At Sea (Izumi!) Day 8 - Worst day ever, Disembarkation My wife and I are VERY excited for this cruise. We're going with two of our friends. We'll be staying in the Spacious Aquatheatre Suite overlooking Aqua and we can't wait! We've been in contact with our genie and setting everything up. we have bids for the Owner's Panoramic Suite and Royal Loft Suite, but we're not holding our breaths, since they're already booked. This is our second cruise on RCL. Probably have the entire cruise ship memorized from watching hours and hours of Youtube videos. Let me know if you guys have any recommendations. Will update this as we get closer to the date!
HxFx Posted February 3 #2 Share Posted February 3 Doing this cruise next month! Looking forward to hearing about it. The Hideaway Beach day passes just went on sale so I got those for our groups. Will be interested to read how that is. Only videos/pictures I've seen are of people dancing in the pool. We might be interested in the chef's table as well. We did that on Allure. The food was not as good as I hoped but I loved the location and presentation. We also had great table mates! Can't wait to hear about your experience. Rare GetToLivin Posted February 3 #3 Share Posted February 3 We won a RoyalUp from a Jr Suite to the 1-bedroom Aqua Suite (Deck 11) for our Dec 2022 NYE cruise. One of my favorite suites to this day, nothing beats that balcony 🤩 I'm looking into a Christmas cruise for this year on Oasis which would be our first time sailing her, very excited to see pics, following along! Rare YouthD Posted February 5 Author #5 Share Posted February 5 Day 1 in the books! We arrived from Orlando at around 11 am since the coast guard was inspecting our ship. Once we arrived, we were brought to the suites waiting area and Rahul our genie quickly brought us aboard. Our room wasn't ready yet, so we stopped at Playmakers for a drink, then Coastal Kitchen for some lunch. The food food was hit or miss there. Our scallops and braised short ribs were good, but the arrabbiata, chocolate cookie and creme brulee was just ok. Then off to our room with Rahul! They do such an amazing job on our room! Our friends were celebrating their anniversary on this trip, so they got a cake and some decorations. The view from this suite is spectacular! Then off to the closest bar, Trellis Bar, for some drinks. We walked around the shop, tried portside BBQ, pretty good! We made it back just in time to watch our ship sail away from our balcony! Dinner was in Chops Grille, one of our favorites. We got all of the apps and sides to share, two Lobsters and two ribeyes, probably too much. All of the apps were great, our favorite side was the mushrooms. Steak and lobster is always good. Then off to the ice skating show, Frozen in Time, in Studio B. It was great seeing all of the ice skaters do they routines, and a lot of Hanz Christian Anderson's fairy tales. Lastly, there was the balloon drop at midnight, which was beyond crazy! Then off to bed!

Rare LittleMissMagic Posted February 5 #9 Share Posted February 5 Amazing, so excited for this review! I'll be sailing Star Class for the first time on Allure in just a few weeks, so I appreciate the information! When did your Royal Genie reach out to you before your cruise? Also, did you bring your bags with you and not drop them off with the porters? I've read to do that, but I wasn't sure if you have to put all of the bags through the security scanner and bring them on the ship yourself, or what the process is for that. Looking forward to updates, have a great cruise!
Rare YouthD Posted February 8 Author #10 Share Posted February 8 Day two is in the books! We docked in Nassau next to the brand new Celebrity Ascent! We had an amazing breakfast brought up in the morning from our genie. Then slowly made our way to the new port area in Nassau. They put it together very nicely. We some amazing garlic corn on the cob from one of the stands, I would highly recommend it. Afterwards we went to Coastal Kitchen for lunch, again it was just ok. After lunch, we did some Clash for Crystal City laser tag, which was so much fun! We're gonna definitely do it again before the end of the cruise. Then did some soft archery, a royal Caribbean staple. After a much needed break, we went to 150 Central Park for dinner. We ordered pretty much every app and a mixture of entrees. These scallops were great, would order again. Braised short rib was good, but very rich. Crispy Pork Belly was very good and crunchy. The beet salad was very fresh and amazing. Lastly, not pictured was the Pumpkin soup, this was our favourite app of them all. Lobster thermidor was very interesting, good, but wouldn't order again. The roasted tenderloin for one was pretty good, would order again. Seared Halibut was very moist and the warm potato salad was amazing. These fried cheesecake balls were the best thing here, they disappeared very quickly. Tart was good, just not as good as the cheesecake balls. Caught the very end of the first showing of Aqua 80. Unfortunately our was cancelled due to weather. Grabbed a sundae from Playmakers to end the night. Tomorrow is CocoCay!
Rare YouthD Posted February 8 Author #11 Share Posted February 8 Day three is in the books! It was a crazy one... Woke up to our normal breakfast from our genie. Then off to our Hideout Cabana in the new Hideaway Beach at CocoCay! The day started out so calm... Looking both ways from our Cabana, we were in 81. A little bit of sunshine before the storm... Forgot to take more food pictures since we had to leave so fast. Decided to get a snack from Portside BBQ, the burnt ends, banana pudding and Mac and cheese is pretty good! This what our day turned into... Wind gusts of 50 mph, got hit with waves coming over the pier as we went back to the ship. Furniture turned over in the Aqua theatre suites... Had dinner at Giovanni's Table for dinner, ordered most apps again and several entrees. Food was good, best steak so far... Adult comedy was hilarious, would see them again. We ended up being docked at CocoCay until about 330 AM. 3

moesyk4 Posted February 13 #16 Share Posted February 13 You guys took over the ship from us! Not quite, we were in a much smaller room but still on the Boardwalk in a balcony. Our day in Cococay was the opposite…started off cold and windy but ended gorgeous.
