Future cruise deposit question

Hi all, chat is closed and Im thinking I might get better info here than if I called Princess.

 

I have a cruise booked using an FCD for October 2024, of course, booked within the year as required. I am considering moving my cruise to February 2025.  If I cancel the Oct 2024, will by FCD expire since , now, its been over a year? Or will I still be able to use it?

 

If anyone knows, I would really appreciate.

FCD has to be booked within the year of purchase date.  You may sail after the year is up.

 

The question is:

 

Are you able to transfer the FCD to a different cruise?

Will you have to cancel current October 2024 cruise?

When does your FCD expire?

Are you working through a travel agent?

Im not working with a TD.  My original cruise was Feb 2023 so I still have a couple of weeks. Just wondering if I made the change after that, would I be out of luck.

 

IF I do cancel, now does the FCD become available immediately?

Since we can't put a hold anymore.. just wondering how best to go about it

I changed a 2025 booking that was booked with an FCD. At the time I made the change the FCD was out of date. I sat with my T.A. while she was on the phone with Princess. She was able to make the change without any difficulty. One reason to use a T.A.
