My wife and I did a private charter since we weren’t able to get others on the tour Edited May 23 by notalandlover

I had gone with the company a few times previously (2004 was the first year I believe) and I was cancelled on early last season and watched the drama unfold last year. Their 2 boats were up for auction this spring.

LAX When we went it was raining a little windy but it wasn’t rough anytime during the trip. I get seasick as well. The wrist bands are great. This trip is one of the best excursions I have ever done. As I remember the distance is around 50nm, so in a catamaran that can do 20 knots, around three hours with stops for whales and wildlife. It’s an all day excursion. LAX The times I went - they went fast and it was windy and choppy until we got to Tracy Arm and then it was smooth. I brought a book to read, others brought music to listen to. The first hour or so the scenery is "normal Alaska" and then it gets really good. I would definitely be prepared if someone is prone to seasickness. For me, it felt like being in a speed boat.
