Excursion recommendations - Best of Scandinavia cruise on Celebrity

I am looking for excursion recommendations for Celebrity's Best of Scandinavia cruise in June.  The ports are Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tallian, Stockholm, Visby, amd Skagen.   Are any of those ports easy to do on your own?  Is there anything to do or see within walking distance of the ports?   In which ports would you recommend doing excursions?   Can you recommend any specific excursions?  This is our first time to Scandinavia.  All input appreciated!

If you search for each of your ports in turn on this forum, you will find lots of information on doing them on your own and on excursions (if not necessarily Celebrity's excursions).

 

And note that it is Tallinn (without the second "a" and with 2 "n"s).

All good DIY - look for HoHo opportunities in Copenhagen and Stockholm - both has many sights  - Talinn is small and walkable. 

Visby, and Skagen are very small towns.

Search for options for for each city in this forum.

Even if you don't want to book any, look at the shorex on offer as they give an idea of some of the highlights and what could be achievable in the time you have in each.  Also look at the official Tourist

Information websites for each port, and choose from others in the results which appear when you google eg "sightseeing in ?".  And Tripadvisor, YouTube, guide books (can you borrow from a local library?  And if you have not already done so, look at past threads for each of your ports for info and ideas.  If you do not know how to do this, go to this forum, N Europe and Baltic, but stay on the main page, don't go to an individual thread . Under your username you will find an empty search box.  This is where you would input the name of each port in turn before hitting the little magnifying glass.  This should bring results of all threads containing that word and from these you can choose which to read.

 

gnome12 is correct as spelling is important when searching a name. If wrong you will get no results.

 

With so many ports, you might want to consider doing what we do.  IE start a document for each, and initially copy and paste all info you want to keep for each.  Some will get very long, but when finished each, you can delete everything you don't want and only keep what you do want.  And with so many ports and to not get confused, research one at a time, and only move onto the next once you are finished with one of them.

We did the Best of Scandinavia last May on the Apex.  It looks like your ports differ a little from the ones we visited, though.  I did a (very) detailed live and included everything you'd want to know.  Happy to answer any questions you may have.  Enjoy your sailing. 🙂
