LAX: 2.5 hours enough to get thru Customs & from Tom Bradley to T1?

I land at 6:20AM & am looking at a SWA 8:55AM flight out of T1.

Is that enough time to make that flight on a Thursday morning?

Yes, but know 2 things. First, early morning international arrivals at the west coast airports are usually jammed. And thus Immigration will be jammed. Customs is a bit easier.

That is much tighter than I would be comfortable with. If you "land" at 6:20AM, that has no correlation with when you actually get off the plane. It could be another 30 minutes or longer, depending on gates, seat assignment, etc.

 

Then you have to get to T1. You can walk, but it isn't a short walk. If you use the shuttle, it will stop at T4, T5, T6, T7 and T8 before getting to T1.

 

If you are trying to get back to Lincoln via Omaha, it is not a risk I'd take.

Guess that's not surprising.

I'm waiting either way...there is a 10:30AM direct flight also, about $50 more.

Perhaps better off to just book that & not fret.

you'll also have to clear security in t1. 

tbit if you're at the 200s it's a long walk to immigration.

Do you have Global Entry?  If you do then it shouldn't be an issue.

On several occasions I've seen long lines extending from the Southwest counters out to the sidewalk at T1.  I'm not even sure I'd be too comfortable with 10:30 but probably okay.
