Issue with facial recognition with disembarkation

I have a similar issue..... UK machines will not read my UK passport. I have to speak to immigration who say it may be a glitch in the passport  hip 🙄

Equally the last three times I flew to tha USA I was pulled aside for 'secondary screening'  before being allowed on the plane. My boarding card has the dreaded SSS on it ... I was told this was just a random thing ....

Yes, as far as I know.  The stories I have heard or read all were cases of expensive jewelry being bought on board.

The cruise lines are obligated to report on board purchase that reach (or exceed) a certain threshold on board per passenger.  Might be duty free on board but will be subject to US application once disembarking,.
