Blueyed6666 Posted February 5 #1 Share Posted February 5 Does anyone know which type of european power adapters work on the Discovery?
Trent212 Posted February 5 #2 Share Posted February 5 I think they have the US 3-prong type plugs, but also a couple EU Type-C plugs. But if you're asking what kinds of Type-C adapters work, that depends on your equipment. I think whatever gets plugged into an outlet onboard needs to be OK with 110V / 60Hz power (what the ship provides), or converting from 110V/60Hz to 230V / 50hz

chubbypiggy Posted February 7 #4 Share Posted February 7 Here are pictures of the outlets on the Discovery Princess. And the adapters I used for those outlets.
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted February 7 #5 Share Posted February 7 The European plugs throughout all of Princess’ fleet is 240 (or 220/but not 110). You will need an adapter if you are planning on using them. Most medical equipment (CPAP) will have built in converters. All Apple products are dual voltage. I’m counting on others to provide photos and links. The one I travel with has an European plug to go into the wall plus one outlet for European plug and one outlet for US plug. This allows me to plug in my CPAP and bed lamp. i was told by housekeeping supervisor that, if, your device has a brick on the power cord…it is usually dual voltage. Best to check your equipment. According to Amazon's description, it is type E/F Plug Adapter.

Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted February 7 #12 Share Posted February 7 Here is what I use for the sockets that are "hidden" behind the bed (for CPAP use...but could be used for anything, really.)
shellbeachjim Posted February 7 #13 Share Posted February 7 Here's the one we use. I like this because it accepts both 2 and 3 pronged US style plugs. https://www.amazon.com/Ceptics-European-Adapter-Adaptor-Charger/dp/B01NCZJ5UN?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1
