Hi, all!

We will be cruising from Port Everglades which will return on March 23. We'll be staying overnight after the cruise and we're looking for the most efficient way to get from the port to the Dollar Car Rental area of the airport. We're also wondering if this particular rental facility is onsite of the airport. Thanks in advance for your help!

Dollar is located in the Car Rental Center (Level 4) at the airport.  I would take a taxi from the cruise terminal to the CRC... probably cost about $20.

We are renting a car in NJ and then dropping it at FLL the morning of our princess cruise.

I was thinking of dropping our luggage at the pier and then driving over to the airport to return the car. Then taking the cab back to the pier without schlepping the luggage. Does this make sense?

Not really (depending how many of you there are in the car).  I'd recommend dropping the car at the airport and taking a taxi from the Car Rental Center to the cruise terminal.  Otherwise, a lot of driving back and forth and more fooling around on your part at the cruise terminal than you might want to take on.

We normally return the rental vehicle at the Fort Lauderdale Rental Car Center and then walk downstairs to the Arrivals Area where the taxi stand is. Hop in the cab with our luggage for the short fifteen minute ride over to the terminal. Cost is usually around twenty dollars plus tip. Normally there is plenty of cabs available.

Sure does make sense. Drop off early as possible take car back and come back to the pier.

We did this 1 time and was we liked it.

Is using Dollar Car Rental a must? If you're a Costco member check on their rate.

There's a Budget & Avis (on Miami Road) right outside the Port Everglades gate with a Comp shuttle  in to the port which stops at each ship terminal. This couldn't be easier. We've done this many times.

Enterprise has a cruise port area. Does enterprise have a shuttle from the airport to the cruise enterprise office? And when you return the car do they have a shuttle to take you to the cruise pier?
