Refundable Deposit Question

Does anyone have any experience with the length of time it takes Celebrity to refund a refundable deposit?  In early January I cancelled a July sailing that had a refundable deposit.  Here it is 6 weeks later and the credit has not posted to my credit card.  All I’m being told is that it’s “in process”.  Thanks for any info anyone has regarding how long it took for them to see the credit posted.

I’ve read a long as 9 weeks. I’d call the CC company and let them know that a refund is in process and ask them to set it aside so interest doesn’t accrue.

@Georgia_Peaches Thanks!  So that’s 2 billing cycles.  Crazy!  By the way, I think I’m a Yacht Club convert now.  I’ve got 4 more booked on Meraviglia in the next 12 months vs. 1 Celebrity (not in Retreat) booked (had $1500 worth of FCCs that I wanted to use!). Also received a letter from casino on my sailing last week offering me a discount on a future cruise with details being sent to me via email this week.  So I’ll see what that’s all about!

yacht club is really hard to beat!  We enjoyed Meraviglia’s YC pool deck a bit more than Seashore but the product itself is a great value when compared to Retreat. That said, I still feel like Celebrity offers a nice product for non retreat guests while on MSC, I’d only consider YC.
