Markanddonna Posted February 26 #1 Share Posted February 26 We are trying to book a cruise with our adult daughter, who wants her own cabin. For an inside, it is $1,102 PP if two people occupy it (total $2,203), and for one person in a cabin, it is $3,294. Are they trying to discourage solos? Rare Galaxy2004 Posted February 26 #2 Share Posted February 26 Yes. Prices for solos have been crazy for the last year or so. Not just on Celebrity either. Unless you can grab one of the few designated solo cabins, it's really expensive.
Rare PTC DAWG Posted February 26 #3 Share Posted February 26 (edited) I would book two and have a "no show" at embarkation. As in, they are checking in later... Edited February 26 by PTC DAWG

This is your best option, I’ve done this in the past, you’ll be refunded the taxes and port fees.
Rare Essiesmom Posted February 26 #5 Share Posted February 26 There is a long thread about this. Lately I have had better luck with mock bookings. EM
