Royal Caribbean free drinks in casino

I’m not sure that I’ll ever understand this program. I used to be Prime tier and had free drinks in the casino. Now, I’m listed as Choice with 1,300 points and my husband is Prime. I guess my question is can I change my status gambling on my May cruise, or will I have to wait till the program resets again?

 

Alternately, is there a number of points that you can gamble to reach free drinks like on Carnival?

I am no expert either, but if you are already shown back at CHOICE, then it sounds like more than 2 years since you last hit PRIME.  So you will be "starting again" at CHOICE for your May cruise AND those1300 points will reset to zero on April 1.

 

Your husband likely was PRIME more recent and will likely carry forward that status for your May sailing.  However, his points too will have been reset to zero on April 1.

 

So now you will need to accumulate 2500 more new points to hit PRIME again, which is where free drinks kick in.  If hubby retains PRIME, then he has free drinks from Day 1...but would also still need to accumulate 2500 points to "stay" PRIME for the next season.

DNA1990 is correct.    the casino year runs thru April 1st thru March 31st.    

You need to earn 2500 points per casino year to reach prime. 

 

If you reached prime status by March 31, 2024 you will be prime up thru March 31, 2025.

 

If you reach prime anytime during the casino year they will apply a sticker to your sea pass granting you free cocktails in the casino.
