eltigre Posted March 26 #1 Share Posted March 26 First visit to Antigua and I am looking for a beach for a group of 8 active seniors. Shade, sun, sand & snorkel would be a bonus. Chairs, umbrellas & drinks. I have narrowed it down to the above. Can I get suggestions please?
Older Sister Posted April 28 #2 Share Posted April 28 I’ve been to Valley Church twice (most recently in March 2024) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice beach, chairs and umbrellas available for rent, excellent beach bar with food (haven’t tried the food but it looks good). Nice water. Not sure how good the snorkeling is, but the water is clear. I’d go back again.
jonsmom Posted April 28 #3 Share Posted April 28 Did you take a taxi? Do you recall how much it was? TIA
TTEllis Posted April 28 #4 Share Posted April 28 A beach for 8 active seniors. You've chosen the correct beaches. Darkwood or Valley Church same bay almost next to one another. Same beach same water different beach bars either way you go it's nice. No or less children Valley Church. 😎🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😎

Valley Church was on the other side of the island from the cruise port, but I wouldn’t think you’d have any problems getting a taxi to/from there.
