Rare BirdTravels Posted April 10 #4 Share Posted April 10 Kinda like during the pandemic. NCL was the only ship in port, but still parked way out on the AJ dock versus the town dock.

It'll be exactly the same for N.Jade on the first SB next year from Whittier, no other ships but us and it's a long walk into the center city area. 42 minutes ago, wolfie11 said: It’s still winter! I'm hoping for the repositioning next year, and the SB from Whittier that follows, when we get into the Inside Passage cities during the fourth week of April and first week of May that the weather will be slightly better (warmer). 😁

jrt.mom Posted April 10 #8 Share Posted April 10 I'm enjoying your pictures. I was there last year and they are taking me back...keep them coming! 1
Rare laudergayle Posted April 10 #9 Share Posted April 10 How wonderful the Bliss is able to make the turn into Endicott Arm. In mid-May 2022 she had to stop at the mouth due to too much ice. Here is a picture…you can see the ice is right up to the mouth.
ChiefMateJRK Posted April 11 #10 Share Posted April 11 Fantastic! I love AK, especially when there is some weather. I'm so tired of sunshine. 1
vwwolfe Posted April 11 #11 Share Posted April 11 Somehow we lucked out on the Encore last September and docked right in town next to the parking structure.

She got into the fjord, but not getting up to the glacier with that much ice in the water. Still, absolutely stunning views. Snowcapped mountains are beautiful. We're not sailing until September, so there will only be bare rocks then.
