brer111 Posted April 11 #1 Share Posted April 11 Just wondering if anyone has used NCL Air to fly to Barcelona? If you had wondering what airlines NCL is using. We are flying to Barcelona from Phoenix if that helps to answer my question. And yes I know all the possible issues with NCL and just looking to find out what airlines some of you have been on using NCL Air. -Lew- Posted May 15 #2 Share Posted May 15 You might receive a better response on the NCL board or your Roll Call...
Rare mskaufman Posted May 19 #3 Share Posted May 19 Two years ago NCL booked us on Delta (BWI - JFK - BCN) This year we are on United to Italy and American on the return.
Lynda59 Posted May 25 #4 Share Posted May 25 I am part of a large group going to Barcelona and we used NCL air. People are coming from about six or seven different states. NCL uses sooooooooo many different airlines: British Airways, American, Delta, United, Aer Lingus, Air Canada, JetBlue, Scandinavian Airlines, and Lufthansa to name some of them they used to get people to Barcelona. barb17476 Posted May 25 #5 Share Posted May 25 They will use the cheapest flight they can find. In December, we had a simple return flight from LAX to Phoenix. They booked our return flight at ** 8pm ** making us wait in the airport for 12 hours. The difference in cost was about $21 from an earlier flight and yes there were multiple flights available much earlier when they booked. We fortunately were able to rent a car and got home hours before the flight took off. Of course, the 8pm flight didn't board until 9:15. I hope you fare better. Not an NCL cruiser, but have booked air with Princess and Celebrity and have always been able to book the flights we want...even if they don't show on their flights screen. Does NCL not give you that option?

I am surprised they had you wait 12 hours. Last year when the airline changed my return flight and we would have left the next morning NCL changed our flight. They told us anything over 5 hours was not allowed. I realize they will use the cheapest flights. You must not have had any checked baggage on your flight to be able to grab a car and drive. Rare Hlitner Posted June 19 #8 Share Posted June 19 When you let a cruise line choose your flights, you get pot luck. Maybe you will get good flights, maybe not. That is your choice. If you are concered, than either use NCL's custom air program or take the air credit and book your own air. Hank
