Not to say we won't go again... I just won't drive.  We'll take an excursion and let someone else do the driving.  And we're usually there on a cruise, so the time factor is always an issue.  but you are right... it is a beautiful drive

I've driven on the road going to Hana many times because I was going to Hana.

 

I've done "The Road To Hana" (RTH) three times, once as a child (no choice), once as an adult because SWMBO insisted we "had" to, and once as an adult with my cousin, his bride, and my bride during my cousin's wedding/honeymoon on Maui.

 

In honesty I was glad to have done it once, even though I was mostly bored, but it is a 'nice' to do on Maui..... when you've run out of things to do.... after you've been to the Snail Petting Farm.

It appears that submissions to the Hawaii posts - at least about Maui - are getting less and less.  Agree? Disagree?  Any thoughts in either direction?  Mahalo.

It is what it is...perhaps because of a few less stops at Maui as Lahaina is not happening?

 

That being said, we just booked our first trip to Maui for March 2025, after taking 3 plus years off post Covid. We went 3 times between December 2021 and October 2022, given the Covid travel complexities...Hawaii was about the easiest and safest. It will get better, I think.
