Finally a free cruise offer - but not showing up when booking

Its been awhile sine we got a free cruise offer from HAL, but we just got one.  However, when I try to find/book it online it does not show up (just the normal fare).  Is this normal?  How long should I wait for it?

I just received a free cruise offer email 30 minutes ago.  It was from the Players Club and said to call your PCC for availability and to make the booking.

Did you check your account online to see if it showed up?  It used to for me, but not so far.

I tried a dummy booking but it did not show a free inside cabin.  Last time we contacted our PCC and she did the booking for us.

If it is a Casino Offer many are now needing to be called in to the Casino Department, of course it is for select sailings and select ships. Recently those Casino Offers cannot be booked on line.

Do yourself a favor. 99.9% of cruise critic members have no clue how casino offers work. Several agents at the casino number have no clue either. There is a group called Holland America Casino Players on a very popular social media site that has over 6100 members. All of them book casino offers and are a wealth of knowledge as to how to get offers as while as how to book them. If you choose to go a different route I would HIGHLY recommend you get a PCC that is familiar with casino offers. As an FYI my offers are showing online.

When you say "showing online" - could you be more specific as to how you find them? Thank you!

I received an offer today for various sailings. If you receive a free cabin offer it will show as $100 when you search cruises like the graphic below.

Some offers are not visible online and you have to call the Players Club with the code to book it.

I book all of our free casino offers through our HAL PCC and it works out fine. Have never booked through the Players Club. If you book online with the $100 pp I'm not sure you will receive the Free Play and free drinks in the casino, that's why I always book through our PCC.
