I don't understand this comment, 15% is added to non package drinks as well.

Host Hattie.
This of us who have the US  Grills drinks package get any drinks under $12. There is still a gratuity added which we do not pay, but the sommelier gets that 15% gratuity. It is a strange system for sure
IT is not like the Cunard drinks package on which NO 15% is added as it is supposedly included.

I trust the views from QG lounge for Alaska would be stunning. Especially in rainy weather.

Let’s hope they never use QA in Alaska, then. 😀 But she is going to Norway.

After speaking to the environmental officer on board, I don't think she will be in Alaska for a long while as she doesn't have any of the needed requirements to sail in Alaskan waters.

So I imagine it will only be after the first drydocking (if that) before Alaska is possible.

Can't remember the colour of key cards on our first (and so far only) Cunard voyage. Does this mean that even as a lowly Silvers we now won't be red tops in (checks - 24 days).  What are these pins like we are supposed to get...?

Of course it's a red pin for golds. Cunard logic.

I had to go to the concierge desk to ask for it, rather than it being given automatically..

Just out of interest, has anyone on this cruise had a survey???

Not us although I have the distinct impression some of my comments, positive and the one or two negative thoughts will be fed back to the higher up suits so that will do for me. 🙂

I will see if any changes will have been made later on in the year.

Yes, my husband has. I didn't, but maybe that's because they just send one per stateroom, or because I am still on board.

A few years ago there was an advert on Cunard's Facebook page saying the QA was going to take over the Alaska cruises "in order to provide more capacity."  From the reduced fare offers I am getting almost daily from various cruise lines - not just Cunard - there is plenty of capacity on Alaska cruises now.

Our first cruise on the QE was a Norway cruise in 2013. We were in PG and loved the lounge. The views from the Grills restaurant are fabulous - much better than on the QM2.
