Carnival has approved Stock ownership on Board Cedit
bananavan replied to Lakesregion's topic in Cunard Line
You got in at a good price. I lost money yesterday and today, but I don't care. I like supporting products I believe in. -
So if I read this correctly, the Grills promotion (ZED) in the USA will not be honored? I have quite a few QG bookings for 2025 and your information helped IMMENSELY last July. I have a few bookings made subsequent to the July sale.

Mine has the spinning circle (Euphemism) for "In Progress" I received every acknowledgement. I have $750 in OBC coming my way for the month of March and April alone. I have not submitted my September cruises yet. -

I entered my information on Sunday, November 3 and am still waiting. Interestingly I also purchased VITL as a result of looking in to Stockperks. All it takes is 15 shares and you get a dozen eggs and a pound of butter every six months. It made sense to me because I only purchase pasture raised eggs and grass fed butter anyway. 🙂 -
Jim_Iain Live QM2 - New York to Southampton Oct 25 - Queens Grill

I remember too well your Covid saga. I was experiencing the same nonsense on the Celebrity Edge. We are loyal Cunard guests but we were Elite Plus with Celebrity. We had decided to take the Edge from FLL to Rome and then join a Princess cruise for three weeks. IT was such a nightmare that we will never sail Celebrity again. We have over 200 days booked from March of 2025 to May of 2027 on three of the Queens. We are all about the experience. We have always been in Princess Grill but for the 200 nights, we are going Queens. So wonderful to read about your experiences. -

Well, thank you very much. I have 7 cruises booked for next year totalling almost 100 days, so this is great news. PLEASE dont be like me though. The first booking, which I have already paid off, I went in and chose Carnival as the Stock Perk. I was too hasty and did not go down and see that there is a link for each cruise line. I ignored the Cunard part because I had not been patient. For my second cruise, I did its correctly and the credit was there in about an hour. I am still waiting for the first one. I used my Cunard booking code and it will be interesting to see whether the system understands what I did. -

I believe that the final payment must have been made. in order to claim the OBC. I submitted two this morning for cruises in March that I paid for last month. -
Alaska advice - and last day for huge Cunard discounts
bananavan replied to buchanan101's topic in Cunard Line
IT must be a UK thing because my Q6 is $2000 USD more expensive now than when I booked it in late June. The two suites surrounding mine are still showing as available however. -

We will be using points as well. As I said to my husband earlier this year, there is no way we want to die with points remaining. 😇 We will drive from Indiana to Chicago for a Delta non stop flight. We will be staying on the ship and taking the 28 day Seattle to Miami back to our house in Florida. The flight from Indianapolis to Seattle direct is 4x the cost of the flight from Chicago. Do you know what hotel is Cunard using in Seattle? -

Have you ever used Cunard for your flights? I realize that things are different for UK customers vs USA, but we have always found that the International flights through Cunard are much less expensive. That being said, we will use points for our flights within the USA. We cannot book until 330 days out and I have been watching our flights like a hawk on a daily basis. -

Yes it is the same, but I could not find a way to book the private car on their site. We have taken the regular train before and it is very good but the seats are hard and decided that we are now only built for comfortable tours. 😇 I booked this earlier in July!! It apparently sells out very fast and when I looked the tour up on other cruise lines, the price was over $400 each as well. I normally arrange my own trips but this is one where I felt we had to do it with Cunard. When we were last in Alaska our Princess tour got us back very late in Ketchikan. We had gone on a kayak trip. We had our own kayaks at the time and used them frequently so we thought this would be great This was cold and miserable. BUT we were glad that we had taken a ship's tour otherwise the ship would not have stopped for us. -

Usually Cunard prices are insane compared to private. but there did not seem to be an option for booking directly in Skagway. -

The Captain will spin the ship so that everyone has the views. From my memory, the corner balconies on Deck 4 are slightly smaller than the regular ones on Deck 4. Deck 4 PG have a covered area that might come in handy when we are in Alaska as the weather might not be favorable some days. The higher decks do not have this overhang. Here is a video of the Deck 5 corner suite. Your balcony will be very comfortable for seeing Alaska. I encourage you to book the private car for the railway in Skagway. There are 6 spots left. -
Those are great prices. I just checked the lowest US price and it is considerably higher than the offer that you have. If you can get your PG on decks 5 or 6, I would suggest that you do that. We have always been on Deck 4 PG, but the last few times we did experience a lot of noise when the ship either dropped anchor or docked. The balcony is much bigger on deck 4. We will be in a Q6 8180 for the cruise. Look forward to meeting you in the Grills lounge. We are using this cruise as a preamble to the next one which is 28 days back to Miami. We have a home in Florida and one in Indiana. And oddly, the US sites, at least the retail ones that I have access to, seem to be selling well. BUT, the cabins might be in the hands of travel agencies. I hope that I see a drop in my price. My 28 day one dropped earlier in the summer. This one does not seem to want to for me at this point.

I misspoke. We are also on the September 8, 2025. I have some information on whale watching that a friend took earlier this summer. I am running out the door at the moment. but will certainly get back to you. Taking a plane in Alaska is an amazing experience. We were fortunate that we took one in Talkeetna twelve years ago. We landed on a glacier. IT is the tour that my husband thinks is the best that I have ever found. Speak soon. Edited to add. Book the excursions that you dont want to miss out on. You can always cancel if something better comes along.
-
Megabear, are you going to be on the September 10 Alaska cruise? We have booked the White Pass luxury car in Skagway. It is expensive but what we have been told is that it is well worth it. I believe that David from Mississauga might have taken this in the past. We have taken the regular ride and found it to be very good, but fairly uncomfortable. Evana

I purchased Future Cruise Deposits on QV a year ago. I have used them on the QA World Voyage, which I canceled and then transferred to QE Alaska 2025. I paid $300 each. I am not sure if this has changed.

As this is your second question on CC, and your other question was on Disney Cruise lines, asking a similar question, it appears that you might be trying to stir up chaos. Not very original. As a result, you will definitely asked to pack up your possessions under the eye of your steward and quietly disembarked.

I am sailing from Fort Lauderdale on QV to Southampton in March. Then we board the QM2 a few days later to take the fiords, staying on to do the Mediterranean and then Transatlantic back to NYC. (The last one was not discounted) Two of the cruises are 14 days. Then is September we are sailing Alaska followed by 28 days back to Miami. The long cruise is the one with the discount. My travel agent has already discounted prices on some of the cruises. I use a large Big Box store travel agency. Two of my booked cruises went up in price so we left those alone. Online one of the cruises seemed to have gone up and I was surprised that it had gone down with the agency. I hope that helps. This is our LAST hurrah as we were planning on doing the World Voyage in 2025 on Queen Anne. The Itinerary changed and so did our impression of the ship so we have decided to cruise closer to home. (ish)

I was on he phone with my travel agent for over an hour and a half. I saved $6500 total on four of the cruises and managed to get $1200 more OBC. So that works out to $7700 in 90 minutes. I think that is a pretty good return on my time. Three of the cruises went up so we did not refare those. 😀 Normally there is never a saving for me on Grills so I dont even bother. This was well worth it.
-
Thank you so much for this. I have 7 QG suites booked for 2025. I am able to lower the price on at least two of them.
-
Did they actually say DINNING reservations? Who is writing for Cunard?
-
Host Hattie. This of us who have the US Grills drinks package get any drinks under $12. There is still a gratuity added which we do not pay, but the sommelier gets that 15% gratuity. It is a strange system for sure IT is not like the Cunard drinks package on which NO 15% is added as it is supposedly included.
-
Bell Boy, that is an improvement on the Sommeliers we have had in PG, but for a different reason. The "free drink package" for the US Guests results in overly zealous Wine stewards trying to earn their 15%, which is added to all of the orders on this package. Leisurely drinks never happened. It is truly bizarre.

So grateful to you Bellboy. You reassured us tremendously. Hope to sail with you again soon.
