WaterSky Posted May 22 #1 Share Posted May 22 Has anyone used the Seattle Port Valet. It looks like an attractive program and their website would indicate Holland America participated in the program. I appreciate you opinions and advice.

Rare Haljo1935 Posted May 22 #3 Share Posted May 22 Yes, we use it every May & Sept when we cruise AK out of Seattle. I'll try to answer any questions.
oaktreerb Posted May 22 #4 Share Posted May 22 It works really well. We sign up on the ship. You leave your luggage outside your stateroom and pick it up at your home airport when you get off your flight. We have used it 2x in the past few years without any problems.
farjar Posted May 22 #5 Share Posted May 22 We've used it 3 times and loved it. No problems at all. Just be aware most, but not all airlines, participate in the program and your flight on debarkation day must be after 11:00am.

loveapug Posted May 28 #10 Share Posted May 28 We just used it yesterday for the first time while disembarking from the Westerdam. It worked out really well. Our line in TSA however, took approximately 45 minutes. So glad others on cruise critic mentioned that the TSA lines could be long so we arrived very early to the airport.

Depending on how often you intend to fly you should consider TSA precheck. It cost $78 for 5 years and really cuts down on airport security time. We recently went through security at 2 different airports in less that 10 minutes each while others waited considerably longer in the regular TSA line. We feel it is well worth it even though we only fly a few times a year.

I recommend checking out “spot saver” at the Port of Seattle website….its a free reservation system for going through the TSA area…saves a LOT of time.
