P.S. The two of you are both too young to remember....I hope you both make it back.

Great show currently on hulu I think.  Love the one with the pig faces.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Definitely sounds like you need to go to the Concierge Desk and ask to see the Yacht Club director.

So different it seems from our Seascape experience back in early March.  Of course, different ship, different people, different vibe.

The Maitre D' was always present in the YC Restaurant at meal time.  And he visited the tables and talked to the guests.  The Yacht Club director was visible daily - almost to the point that one would think he was part of a group of triplets and they were all on board playing the role of YC Director.  Additionally, the Captain himself was seen at least twice every day (morning and afternoon) walking through the Yacht Club, Top Sail Lounge, Pool Deck.  Not only was he walking - he interacted with the guests.

I think the hands-on management experience from Maitre D', YC Directory, Head Butler, etc. on the Seascape comes from the hands-on, guest forward style of Captain Tuvo.

Channeling your inner Rod Sterling I see.

Loved that show.

Did address lack of alcohol selection in cabin, no daily snacks in room, no bottle for being Diamond.  Also will be addressing another issue.  The concierge out of the blue said oh this is your daughter's graduation present?  Let's arrange a special cake for her at dinner on the 3rd.  We went to dinner tonight and nothing.  Happy birthday was sung to someone.  My daughter knew and was like WTH?  Honestly we were going to Hola Taco and only didn't go because YC said not to.  It wasn't the cake.  We even asked and got blank stares.

You should definitely have a one on one conversation with the YC Director.  In fact, if you have not already, I would recommend you proceed to the YC Concierge desk and tell them that you would like to speak with the YC Director immediately and do not let them try and address it for you since apparently they are part of the problem.

We did get cake delivered to room. 😁

Went to Cabaret Rouge tonight (ok) then up to YC pool area for the white party.  Started off slow then of course your's truly started dancing with daughter and eventually everyone joined.  We had a conga line, line dances, YMCA...Pitbull, Taylor Swift...Staff was dancing, kids were dancing, we were all having a great time.

My husband called to see how everything was.  I said I miss you but having a blast with our daughter.

Day 4 Nassau early am.

Usual routine of gym and walk about.  DD didn't want breakfast so we just got coffee and currently sitting on balcony waiting to go on our excursion.  Absolutely gorgeous day.

Day 4 After Nassau

We did the Sun Cay excursion with snorkeling.  This is pretty bad.  The snorkeling was not good.  No reef.  A few statues, airplane and boat.

Food was pretty good.  BBQ chicken, fried fish, rice and slaw.  Warm water went well.

No fresh water showers here.  Lot's of ants.  Chairs were pretty dirty as were the tables.

We had no time to stop at any of the stores in Nassau as our tour boat captain had to tell us about every house we passed.  55 minutes to get back.  I get it, it's some folks 1st time but this was a Sun cay excursion.

I did get to hold an iguana and feed one.  Felt like a purse.

Last night we decided to use my Diamond status for the Butcher's cut restaurant.  Just as good as the Divina.  And a much better filet cut then the YC.  Kept pouring water and wine for us throughout meal which we never get at YC restaurant (more on this).  Highly recommend lava cake as well.  My daughter got the filet and I had the NY sirloin.

We then headed to Quest show which was hysterical.  In 38 cruises this was my 1st time and won't be my last!

Then headed back to cabin to grab some cash to play roulette (another 1st as I never gamble on ships - too much wine last night!) and we both won $120 and $160.

Gave our departure info to our butler and she filled us in on what to expect in am.

So would I do YC again on this ship?  Still not sure.  Here's why.

1.  I like skipping lines.  Other than embarkation, always was in lines getting on ship at ports.  Even yesterday at Nassau, special YC area gone by the time we arrived.  Although it was late, we had 30 YC guests or 10% from Sun Cay.

2.  Door for deck 18 and 19 broken the entire cruise.  Yes, was addressed not only by me but others.

3.  Extremely disorganized staff in restaurant.  We never had same table, waiter...  Yes, I did talk to concierge to ask what I should do and commented to YC director yesterday before I got off ship in Nassau.  She offered a bottle of wine and I said no, we were treated as well as others like afterthoughts.  Only the big groups and b2b were replenished with water and drinks.  A bottle of wine is an insult.  Correct your staff.  My daughter told her we almost missed an excursion and were late for a show even after my mom said something because no one checked on us plus our food was cold once.  So based on the food, I wouldn't choose YC again.  It was not good.  Plus yesterday, again, we were downstairs for high tea in the TSL.  For 35 minutes everyone around us got attention, drink orders taken, tea poured...  We ordered originally from TSL bar when we walked in.  No drink.  My daughter got up to ask and the bar staff said what did you want again?  We asked the one waiter about the tea items and he said oh you wanted it?  I kid you not.  After this we went back to YC director.  I said look, this is getting ridiculous how we keep getting ignored.  This was an experience we both wanted to see and honestly your staff just ruined it by ignoring us.  People who came in after us were being fawned over.  My daughter said to her we were treated as if we didn't belong there or weren't good enough.  The YC director did apologize for that and asked if we wanted a special dinner or to go back in as we just left and I said no, the damage was done.  We just want you to know what happened and why this experience was subpar with the TSL.

The pool deck bar was much better and friendly.

4.  Our room attendant and butler were nice but we never once got 1 bottle of alcohol other than my Diamond bottle.  No daily treats.  Just chocolate next to pillow.

In conclusion, I like YC but not on this ship.  May be the size of ship, the shorter itinerary?  We have the Magnifica in November and will probably cancel the Seashore YC in November as I honestly don't want to pay for an experience and have to jump through hoops to get what I want.

We did have an amazing time.  These issues were annoying but in no way ruined our cruise.  I mentioned them because it may factor in why the YC on Seashore may not have been worth the price.  But then again, we did like the pool area, our room, the quiet so who knows?

Feel bad as your experience was unusually bad especially after speaking to the YC Director. Me personally I would tell the front desk to yank the service charge off my bill and I would tip those accordingly who deserved it . We did that the second cruise. As soon as I asked to do that issue resolved quickly. It is not nice but why pay for service you’re not getting.

I did this am.  And explained why.  And tipped accordingly.

We didn't bother with breakfast as we didn't feel like sitting and waiting so we sat in TSL to be escorted.  Multiple staff asked if we wanted to get off.  I kept saying, no. 8am.  My daughter joked it's the most attention they paid to us the entire cruise!  We had a croissant each and a regular coffee.  Usual suspects were being fawned over.

Our butler came at 8am on the dot and we did The Walk.  Quite a few people were saying oh it's the rich people...etc...  😆

Currently on our way to MCO.

So sorry that you left with a negative feeling about MSC.

I've only been on one MSC cruise, and I'll be on the MSC Seashore in a couple months (YC). So I am by no means an expert. However, my experience last year was vastly different compared to yours, and I'm curious to see how it'll be on the Seashore after reading your review. I wonder if there's a difference because you were on a 4 day sailing. (Again, not making excuses for poor service!)

You need to talk to the YC director when you first noticed as they can address it immediately.  I have always had things turn for the better once I discussed with the YC director.  I would not base the YC experience off this one trip.  We have done 7 and it is the only way we will cruise now.

That is a good point ? Though others were observed to be "fawned" over. What would make some be fawned over ? That is the question.

I don't.  And we had a good time.  And we did address 2 separate times.  I can't spend my vacation doing this.
