nanseev Posted June 2 #1 Share Posted June 2 I feel like I should know the answer to this and I don’t….so here I am 🙂 Hubby and I are Diamond and Prime. We have a cruise booked next year and have friends, who have never cruised before, thinking about joining us. It’s too early for two Casino Royale offers to “share” between the four of us, and we are already using our yearly prime offer so that’s not an option. I thought I read about a “friends and family” discount - does that even exist? If so, is it through Casino Royale or my Diamond status? I’d like to see if I can get them even a tiny bit of savings if possible…

Put yourself and one friend in one room and hubby and friend in the other...both rooms get the D discount. Change rooms on board.

Hasn't been updated in the last two weeks - it usually updates on Thursdays. creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Loyal_To_You/13032574_Travel_Agent_Friends_Family_Rates.pdf
Rare jam19872016 Posted June 3 #4 Share Posted June 3 At one time (2022, so fairly recently) Club Royale did offer a Friends and family rate that was 30% off the published fare for one cabin on a cruise you were also booked on. I ended up not using it as my friend changed their mind so I can't say if it was actually 30% off or the usual Royal math with a discount off some phantom rate nobody actually pays and it may not still be something they offer as bookings are much stronger today than in 2022, but it could not hurt to give them a call. It would be based on casino status, not diamond status.
leaveitallbehind Posted June 3 #5 Share Posted June 3 (edited) In our experience "friends and family" cruise rates identified as such by the cruise line are typically only available through travel agents as they are not generally published to the general public by the cruise lines. When offered they also are also only available on certain ships and select itineraries and are not just last minute offers. As described, they are also not affiliated with casino programs. Any similar fares offered in connection with the casinos are not associated with these fares. Edited June 3 by leaveitallbehind

nanseev Posted June 4 Author #8 Share Posted June 4 We used one of our annual prime offers and paid for an upgrade for this cruise, so technically a casino offer…maybe I’ll try calling and speaking with a different rep.

I do get multiple offers from Casino Royale free to the member and pay for a cabin mate. Check offers at Casino Royale website. Booked a b-b Casino offer on Utopia in late August and taking my son along.
