threebluestars Posted June 9 #1 Share Posted June 9 We are wanting to upgrade to Premier from Plus and noted most people here said to do it onboard. If we wanted to book reservations now for Crown Grill before boarding we’d have to pay up front. Would guest services be able to credit the booked dinners against the cost of upgrading? Or should we just worry about reservations on board? (I’m hesitating only because on HAL we couldn’t get reservations after the first night their specialty restaurant was booked). We have always been able to book on board but we eat later than some. We never eat before 7:30 pm

If you book and pay specialty dining in advance, then upgrade aboard - of course they'll credit back your prepayment. It'll be in the form of refundable onboard credit... Which then is basically applied towards your onboard balance due...
threebluestars Posted June 9 Author #4 Share Posted June 9 Is the upgrade of the 20 difference per day total or per day per person?

threebluestars Posted June 9 Author #6 Share Posted June 9 I decided to ask a few more questions using the "Chat" feature on the Princess site - and they processed the upgrade to Premier right then! Far easier than I thought it would be (I had assumed they'd tell me to call in to do it). Now I can book specialty without charge. So if anyone wants to upgrade, the Chat feature worked really well!
