RCCL Voyager of the Seas – Deck 7 or Deck 8 Balcony Cabin

Recommended Posts

I have spent hours researching online for this answer. We are looking at a cruise on RCC Voyager of the Seas. It's hard to tell from the few pictures I've seen, so here is my question:  I am wondering if there's any obstruction from Deck 7 Room #7288. I read they can be ‘cave-like’. Would a cabin on Deck 8 be a better choice? My choices are: Deck 7, #7288 – or Deck 8, #8282?

Just on Explorer last summer. This is what they look like. Solid wall on either side, so not as "open" as other ships. 7th floor. It was fine.

I would probably go with deck 8, because I can't remember which decks had the steel balconies. Ours was glass, and it was higher, so probably deck 8.

The 'cave-like' is due to the balcony being built into the hull vs. added on.

Voyager, Explorer, and Adventure are built into the hull.

Navigator and Mariner are added on.

This ^^^.....1st generation design says it all.

No difference.

I actually like this design as it provides more pricacy and noise protection.

As mentioned above... Absolutely no difference between the balconies for these two cabins.
