I realize that, just thought there might be others with a similar question.  leaving from a different port.

Jubilee, 7 day from Galveston to Rotan, costa maya and Cozumel. balcony room...... which side has the best views?

We did this itinerary on Carnival Jubilee in May.  Here is how the ship tied up:

  • Roatan - Backed in with the pier on the port side.
  • Costa Maya - The pier was on the starboard side.
  • Cozumel - The pier on the port side.

Your experience may be different.

Another consideration, if you have a balcony stateroom, is whether you prefer morning sun/afternoon shade or morning shade/afternoon sun on your balcony for the three sea days.  I hope that helps some.

Remember, the morning/afternoon sun/shade scenario will change depending on the days heading south and the days heading north.

Yes, and depending on which way the itinerary is scheduled they will either have 2 sea days going south and one going north or vice versa.

If you're in the boat, it is windward or leeward side that matters, when you're puking your guts out.  Now, on the ship, it's a matter of personal preference as others have said above.  😄

A Western Swing band called Asleep At The Wheel often signs off after a performance with "Remember, Always Drink Upstream From The Herd."

Words of wisdom from the Texas prairie.
