Adowsett Posted July 12 #1 Share Posted July 12 Hello - We are finishing our cruise 27th December in Tenerife. We have decided to stay in Tenerife a few days longer, so will not be getting the chartered flight back later that day. Once we vacant our cabin, are we still allowed to stay on the boat for a couple hours and maybe put our cases somewhere. We have an Airbnb booked, but can't check in until later that day? 🙂
Rare carlanthony24 Posted July 12 #2 Share Posted July 12 Cases need to be left outside the cabin the night before then grab them from the terminal on leaving you can stay on the ship till you are ready to leave.
Bin man Posted July 12 #3 Share Posted July 12 Surley the person would keep their cases in cabin and self disembark with p and o permission with their cases and take a taxi to their hotel

That we can't check into until 3pm, and they are not able to store luggage. I would expect to keep our cases, there is no need to leave them outside the night before if we are self disembark, or I could be wrong.
Bin man Posted July 12 #5 Share Posted July 12 No that seems correct to me do you have to inform p and o or did you book cruise only and booked your own flights there and back?

We have flights included, just won't be using the return flight. I will obviously let P&O know and take it from there 🙂 I will probably just book the Airbnb for the night before, so save any issues and can check straight in morning time. FangedRose Posted July 12 #7 Share Posted July 12 (edited) If you are self disembarking you are expected to leave the ship first (7am-7.30am). Cabins have to be vacated by 8am. They want everyone leaving the ship to be off by 10am. Just tell P&O (probably best to tell reception whilst on board, P&O shoreside cannot be relied on to give you the right info) you won't be using the flight and they will give you a place and time to meet for disembarkation. Leave your cases outside your room as per instructions the night before and pick them up from the baggage hall. Rare carlanthony24 Posted July 12 #8 Share Posted July 12 (edited) This should help you out disembarkation leaflet from Tenerife. No time slot given for cream guests to leave. Regardless of self disembarkation overseas luggage has to be offloaded by staff. Edited July 12 by carlanthony24

This is a Flycruise so the disembarkation would normally be in line with the return flight time. I would guess that the op would be able to leave all their luggage in the hand luggage location and be free to utilise the ships services until they are ready to disembark. NauticalMiss Posted July 16 #10 Share Posted July 16 From memory, you will be issued with all the luggage labels a couple of days prior to D-barking. They will be delivered to your cabin, and will be colour-coded, dependent upon which flight you are booked on. As you're not taking a flight, you will need different labels/ guidance, etc. So, you should advise reception once on board, and then there will be no confusion over your luggage. You can leave it outside your cabin, if you wish, and collect it the following morning, jump into a taxi, book into your AirBNB and enjoy the rest of your holiday. We often book accommodation for the day before, so we can access it as soon as we arrive, such as an early flight, etc. Often we book accommodation for an extra night at the end of a holiday, so we can use the facilities up until we leave for a late flight, etc. No stress. Thanks everyone for the advice. We have now booked the Airbnb for the night before, so we have access first thin in the morning 🙂
