Primus Posted July 21 #1 Share Posted July 21 I am wondering if there are typical hours when the watersports platform will be open in French Polynesia. That could impact when I schedule excursions since I want to be able to kayak off the back of the ship. I will be traveling on an 11-day Star Breeze itinerary. On a related topic, does Windstar provide reef-safe sunscreen in the cabins? Thanks.
6rugrats Posted July 21 #2 Share Posted July 21 I have never seen any suncreen in the cabins. Just soap, shampoo, etc.
Misty Morning Posted July 22 #3 Share Posted July 22 They probably have some at the Star Boutique onboard
piper28 Posted July 28 #4 Share Posted July 28 I don't remember opening hours, but from what I recall from the cruise I just got back from, in general when the water sports platform was open, it seemed to typically close about 2 hours before sailing. I think 3pm was a pretty common closing time for most stops.

yeah!!! Posted September 12 #6 Share Posted September 12 I know this is a late response, but the water sports platform opened at 10 am and closed around 3:00 pm in French Polynesia. The Star Boutique does sell sunscreen for $15-$20, give or take.
Primus Posted September 12 Author #7 Share Posted September 12 Thanks Yeah. The reason why I asked about sunscreen is Silversea provides it in the cabins in the Galapagos. It doesn't sound like Windstar does so I'll be packing it.
