GPS is short for Global Positioning System that uses satellites for geolocations, no cruise ship wristband or medallion can do this.  Cruise lines use RFID, Radio Frequency Identification, chips to track people only while on the ships.

Last night, our butler asked “where have you been?” And if he could track us, he would. lol. He seems sad when we do not use him as an escort.  So not like the Princess medallions

Last night’s dinner was the first little miss.  I had the surf and turf and the bearnaise sauce was spicy. The woman at the next table asked my daughter what temperature her steak was so I told her if you order the sauce is hot so she ordered on the side.  They both tasted and agreed it was very spicy. It definitely built up on me to where I couldn’t eat more.  A shame because quality of meat was nice and the cook.

A few questions -

1) The Carousel shows are free now for YC? Great news I was going to buy tickets for both.

2) Who are the YC director and Maitre D'?

3) What are they doing for entertainment in the top sail lounge at night?

4) How is the food on the YC buffet on the pool deck and what have they had on offer?

YC director is Hugh.  Still haven’t got Maitre’d name

Unless you're carrying an active device, i.e., one that is self-powered with a battery there is no way your constant movements can be tracked.  Your previous locations that were accessed via a room card or wrist band are logged, real time tracking of a passive device is not possible.

MSC originally touted the wrist bands as a means to track children around the ship.   They also have alluded to using them around the ship for targeted messages.   I don't think the idea got a good reception so MSC hasn't pushed those features, but I'm pretty sure the newer ships have RFID scanners/readers placed in the public areas.

Thanks for doing this review, lots of good info! Could you comment on attire for the formal night. I don't really want to bring a suit, thinking sportcoat/ slacks , maybe a tie, maybe not.

Definitely do not need sports coat but you won’t be out of place with one. Didn’t see much formal attire.  Collared shirt and slacks is more what I saw most nights including gala

Internet was horrible yesterday!  First two days it was like Starlink.  Yesterday it was unusable. I’ll post some more stuff here.  I did get first three days of blog done at gowithlisablog

Friday night’s dinner. Dumplings and Butter Chicken were excellent.  Our waiter suggested to share lamb and have it with the sauce from butter chicken.  It was great!  Better than the lamb on Seascape from Easter cruise.

@rxlowry just read through your “live,” thank you for the great food pics and your posts. Quick question, apart from the Mango Martini are there any other beverages you suggest we definitely try in November?

What kind of drinks do you usually like?

Mostly red wine at home.

On cruise I try a variety - whiskey sour, margarita, lemon drop - I find that every bartender makes drinks a little differently.

If you like lemon, French 75.
I like Aperol Spritz, negroni before dinner, espresso martini after dinner (sometimes Manhattan)

Poolside maybe try mudslide or BBC

I didn’t care for the purple rain though pictured here IMG_8107.thumb.jpeg.b72da54b1edda9f240b95bac0f434813.jpeg

Thanks all for following along! I’ve finished up the blog at gowithlisablog

Meraviglia was awesome!  I think best YC experience so far for me.  The food was awesome!!
In about three weeks, I’ll be live again but on the Carnival board.  No Top Sail.  It is two weeks from Baltimore to Greenland.  How will it go?  Tune in and find out!  It will be different for sure!!
