The doors (other than the very few accessible cabins) are too narrow for the majority of "regular" scooters. As is stated above" Maximum device width: 22” for standard staterooms, 31” for wheelchair-accessible staterooms" this is not real wide. Our son's wheelchair definitely doesn't fit through a standard cabin door. The two times he sailed with us we booked early enough to secure a handicapped accessible cabin. Chad_O Posted August 19 #7 Share Posted August 19 I sailed on the Sun in April of 2024. The specs of my scooter( a Pride 4 wheel non folding model) listed a width of 22" My cabin door (not a wheel chair accessible cabin) was listed by princess as a 24" wide door. MY cabin door finished opening was 21 5/8" wide when measured between the molded steel door stops. My scooter would not fit. I was told I could park it in the very wide service hallway adjacent to the elevator banks and the hallway leading down to Guest Services. This area does not have an equivalent on other ships that I am aware of except for the area near the Medical Center or the area near a dis-embarkation hatch. I was fortunate that my scooter as less than 20' from my cabin and I was able to manage getting to it on my own. If I were fully mobility impaired or travelling alone it would be VERY difficult. To the OP post I would urge you to book an accessible cabin which offers a wider door and more floor space for a turning radius etc. Good Luck to you and enjoy your trip.
