Are the 2 discounts combinable?

Yes....surprisingly.

I have never done it but others who use this method say to use your C&A free days first, then go to the Voom desk and have the casino discount applied to the remaining days.

That has been my experience in past sails.  However, I’m on Utopia now and was told that’s

not combinable by the Voom representative.

Wow !  Really ?  I think I would take that one up the ladder to Management (not sure who that is, for Voom.  Probably not HD).  Let us know what the final decision is.  It's so disconcerting to have the rules be so willy-nilly depending upon whichever ship you happen to be on.

So what is the difference.  Use your two free days then get the package for the rest of the cruise and apply the casino discount.  Same thing

They are not combinable. However, you can use both of them during a cruise with the example you mentioned being the most common one I know about and what I have done in the past on multiple cruises.

I use  my free days, and then once they are gone, I purchase the rest of cruise.  Most ships have a list of those with casino discount, but I always go to the Voom desk the last day to confirm.   Never had an issue.   Of course, you are buying at the regular price, but after two free days and then the 30% off, it works out best for me.   Plus depending on where we are on the interim day, sometimes I just use my phone ashore and wait a day.
