z4ltw Posted August 27 #1 Share Posted August 27 The deck plan does not indicate that Apex 7116 is a cabin with obstructed view, BUT their trade publication "The Celebrity Commitment" indicates that is it 25% obstructed view? If you have stayed in Apex 7116 can you please comment if it was obstructed view or not Much appreciated
leaveitallbehind Posted August 27 #2 Share Posted August 27 (edited) Never stayed in it, but if you google Apex images there is nothing obvious to indicate there is any obstruction to the view from this stateroom, unless they are suggesting that a direct downward view may have some limitation as the staterooms are recessed somewhat from the hull. Otherwise I would trust the deck plan description as not being obstructed. Edited August 27 by leaveitallbehind

Looking straight down was the only obstruction. A canopy.
Rare PTC DAWG Posted August 28 #4 Share Posted August 28 If it is a port hole balcony, I think that is considered the construction..the round hole itself.

That might make sense although it is not defined as obstructed by the cruise line. But if you look at the deck plans there are staterooms surrounding the OP's that are identified as obstructed, likely due to the window washing unit nearby.

Yes, they are the DPVs. Sitting and looking straight out, no problem as "we" didn't consider it to be an obstruction. Standing at the railing and looking straight out, left and right, no obstruction. We will be in cabin 7118 on the Edge in September. Edited August 28 by doghog
