Retreat hours disembark day Millie Bali to Singapore 1/14/25

On the last day on Millie in Singapore on 1/14/25, the app says Luminae is open 6:30am to 8:00am.  And the Retreat Lounge is not open at all?

We are thinking to do an airport transfer with latest time at 9:45am.  I’m wondering where we can hang out for 60-90 minutes after Luminae closes.  Our flight isn’t until 10:30pm.  The transfer would give us a city tour and let us hang around the airport and lounge for a few hours.

I did call the Retreat desk but they weren’t certain about hours or procedures.

In the past on Millie in Asia we have disembarked from the Retreat Lounge through the door to the outside. It was set up for Suite guests.

Our last cruise on Apex. Out of our suite by 8am.. We were in the Retreat Lounge until 9am. Then one of the Retreat concierge walked us to the exit.

Celebrity normally want all guest off by 9:30am.

On a couple of occasions we have wanted to be last to leave when we have had a flight about 1/2pm. Not worth trying to do something before the airport but a risk of getting to the airport and not yet being able to check in.

We have been allowed to stay in our suite until 8.00am then head for the lounge to enjoy a leisurely coffee or two before being escorted off as the ‘last passengers’ message has been received by the concierge. This has usually been between 9.15 and 9.30am. It has been a nice way to leave the ship as there are no queues or crowds anywhere, your baggage is the only one left…We have been in a RS or PH when we have done this.

My apologies if you have already researched this but I think you could have a problem with your plans for the day. Check how many hours prior to flying you can check in. In our experience with Celebrity tour and late drop offs is that you are dropped off from your tour at the airport at about 3.00pm.

It is possible at this time with your flight not until 10.30 pm that check in for your flight may not be open. Suggest you try to find out.  If it is open and you are allowed through you then may not be allowed into the lounge until about 6pm. Limiting time in the lounge is becoming more common as a way to reduce crowding. I don’t know what lounge you are in but some of the lounges at Changi have a pay for alcohol policy. If you are flying AA you will probably be in the BA lounge which was nice last time we were in it and does serve alcohol.

As I say, I don’t know if you have researched your extended airport stay and it will be fine but I would hate you to be dropped off at the airport at 3pm and have a long wait with your luggage before you can check in or get rid of your luggage and then not get access to the lounge. I speak from experience having once sat on my luggage at Hong Kong airport for nearly two hours waiting for check in to open…

It should come as no surprise to you that the information on the app is often misleading, incomplete, or incorrect,

I’ve researched and we can check in at Changi airport for our flight on JAL 12 hours before at Jewel check in and drop off our bags before passport control.  Which means check in at 10:30 AM.  Then we can go through the passport control to the JAL lounge at any time.

So if we do a Celebrity tour and get to the airport at 1:15pm, we should be good to go.

That is great news! Always difficult that last day with a late flight!

It’s a shame to miss Singapore but we have been there before.  And we will spend 4-5 days in Bali at the beginning so we will just want to go home.

Loved Bali…we stayed there for a week once following a China tour. Highlight was a private tour which included seeing ‘some volcanoes’. Our guide arranged for us to stop for lunch in a cafe literally next to the sort of volcano you see in children’s books. Part way through our meal there was a small earthquake (Jurassic Park shaking of drinks) followed by a rumble and a puff from a fumarole about half way up the volcano. Our immediate response was to get up and run until we realised the rest of the bar occupants had simply picked up their glasses to avoid spillage and had then simply carried on eating and drinking. For us coming from the very stable UK it was quite a frightener!

Sorry @chemmo, I know I’ll burn in hell for all eternity for my sense of humor.  I was replying to @cruisestitch.

So no I did not get a Royal Suite.  I may still try for it from the Move Up program.  We are not sure if there will be a lot of motion aft on a SE Asia cruise. On Millie.

Do you happen to remember the name of the cafe?  I’ll google.  We haven’t planned any events yet and it’s getting close.

Oh…I am really disappointed! I do so love to see ‘regulars’ on CC getting a good break! Perhaps it is an omen….

No…I have just looked ‘back in time’, 20 years since we were there! We simply booked a private tour through the hotel concierge and our guide put the itinerary together. Hopefully someone else will come on who recognises where I was describing…It was a cafe/restaurant in the middle on nowhere then…it could be a thriving metropolis by now!

I (57M) was told this morning I’m not allowed to go on hikes in Bali because I’m supposed to sit and drink wine with and entertain my husband’s nephew (46M) while my husband (59M) takes the nephew’s kids out on tours.

I’ll never win the world surfing championship this way.  😂

When you do a Celebrity airport transfer do they drop you off at YOUR terminal or at a central location and then you find your way around?

In our experience they stop at each terminal.
