Bus from FLL Airport to hotels (eg. Hyatt)?

Hey All,

 

Has anyone taken the bus from the FLL Airport to the hotel strip?  We're staying at the Hyatt on 10th Street.

 

Sounds pretty easy.  and no waiting around for shuttles.

Just grab an Uber or taxi.

The buses in FLL are very, very slow.  We take #40 bus from Best Western Oceanside, the beach area to 17th St for restaurants and can wait more than 30 to see a bus. If the bridge is up the wait is longer.

 

Take a taxi or Uber much faster, they are not  expensive.

The FLL buses can get very chaotic.  I would not recommend when burdened with luggage.  I stopped using the buses after too many close calls of aggressive behavior between riders.

Hyatt uses Avanti Shuttle service. 954-655-1376  $8 to the airport.

Taxi will be about the same price, and no waiting or meeting issues. Uber is probably cheaper.

For 2 or less Avanti is a guarantee no hassle service. He is very quick to pick up, as it is only 2 1/2 miles from the airport. I would not recommend a taxi as they are known to over charge in Lauderdale. Had it happen to us just 1 year ago. We use Uber also and how much are really gonna save? few $, and the wait to pick up sometimes is just as long.
