OBC for Solo cruiser

From what I understand, despite paying double the fare for a Solo cruiser (we have two cabins, 1 with 2 people, 1 with one person at exactly same cost in QG) on an upcoming TA, the OBC is per person not per stateroom so does not double for a solo passenger.....how is this fair?

OBC is per cabin for Carnival. Check the ts&Cs.

It can also be per passenger for Cunard. Depends on booking conditions.

In recent years, I've always seen per stateroom for special offers, but that isn't set in stone. And that's US. I don't know what the offers are like for other countries. For the current Big Balcony Event (US), the OBC is per stateroom.

There are several types of OBC possible on a Cunard booking.

Carnival Corp Shareholder = per cabin

Military = per person

Cunard sale promo = per person

Travel Agent Group amenity =per person

Travel agent gift = per cabin

Future Cruise Deposit =per person

Cunard compensation for a problem= per person

They are Stackable

The last two sale promos, Labor Day and Big Balcony, were per cabin, so that can vary.

Yes, you are correct.

The Cunard Sale promo OBC can vary .

I mainly wanted to point out just how many OBC offers are available .

If you use a Good TA , purchase FCD's , are a Shareholder , Military or Veteran , watch for Sales,

OBC can add up to a big $$$.

You certainly have to be an informed consumer! I do watch for sales. I just refared a cruise using the Labor Day sale and saved 25% of my original booking price. I think that's the best price drop I've seen for something I've already booked.

I think it's VIP, when referring to any discount offers/obc/ drink promotions/ fare matches etc etc, the country of origin should be stated as the UK v US for instance seem to have differing t&cs.

Never has been any different. I don’t like paying double or 175%  as a solo for my cabin but if I want to cruise then that’s the cost to me. I have never had double OBC. Depending on the offer if it’s per person it’s just one allowance and per cabin well speaks for its self.
