Upsell offer on an ocean view room

I currently have an ocean view room on Carnival Paradise on Riveria deck 4.  I have been sent an upsell offer to move to a "better" ocean view room for $60.  Has anyone done this? Did you actually get a "better" room.  Maybe a higher deck?  The room I have was selected by Carnival so I'm not really opposed to moving if it's for a better location.

Have you clicked on the offer?  it usually identifies where you can move to.

I didn't.  I assumed if you clicked ok, you were accepting the offer and were stuck with it.   I'll give it a try and see what happens

Thankyou kdr69.  I did make the upgrade to deck 6 mid ship.  However, I looked at the deck layout wrong and chose a room on the opposite side from where I would rather be.  Oh well, maybe next time.  Plus the upsell was only $32 not $60 like I first posted.

Since you are completed the upgrade, you can now call Carnival and switch to another available cabin in that same rate on the opposite side if available for free.

The price difference is probably because you chose wrong room. If other room is still available, Carnival might be able to move you to it, especially if it's an upgrade.

Unless they upgrade me to an different room type, then no. I am not paying to move floors when the elevator ride is free!

I have an interior booked on MG for this June and just received an upsell to an ocean view for $366.  This is the same amount difference if I would have booked an ocean view in the first place. Where is the incentive for me? One floor up?  Not gonna do it for that 😉
