Rare gottagocit Posted Thursday at 01:26 PM #1 Share Posted Thursday at 01:26 PM We just returned from a short voyage and have already completed a pretty detailed survey from Princess where we gave positive and critical feedback where appropriate. This morning I have a new email from “Princess Casino Voice of the Player” which could be related to specific comments I made in the previous survey but since I’ve never seen this one I looked for comments or other online sources to verify this is legit before following the link. So far I’ve found nothing on this. Anyone seen this email or similar before? It reads: ”Thank you for spending time with us in the casino on your recent cruise. We are committed to making each casino experience better than the last, but we need your help to do so. Would you take 5 minutes to tell us how your casino experience was aboard the Sapphire Princess®? As part of our Voice of the Player program, your feedback will help Princess Cruise Line® shape the casino experience for the future. To get started, click the button below.” Thanks
Rare ceilidh1 Posted Thursday at 01:51 PM #2 Share Posted Thursday at 01:51 PM I got that email this week (I never use the casino). I was willing to fill it out, but the button to link to the survey didn't work...so....

I appreciate your thoughts on this but is this based on your experience with this email or an opinion? Sorry, just being a little more cautious these days with any emails containing links. Sorry, just being a little more cautious these days with any emails containing links. Please don’t be sorry. I am very cautious, as well after being burned before. I also received a premier package inclusions survey a few months before the new unlimited package was introduced. They do seem to be targeting those that have traveled recently and maybe limiting it to those that normally fill out their post cruise survey. Of that I am not sure, though. Anyway, I received that same email so contacted CVP office and found out it is legit. I am always willing a targeted survey to request no smoking at all in the casino. We used to have a reprieve on formal nights and during a Covid spike but no more. 3

Since the closure of Churchill's the smoking is out of control in the casino in some cases spilling out into the atrium. And that's because they seem to be looking the other way when non-gamblers who smoke light up in the casino and no one says anything to them. Maybe if they hear from enough of us they may actually do something about it.

Interesting you mentioned this azbirdmom as I did give lots of feedback about not being able to gamble this voyage due to the heavy smoke. We did notice many people simply sitting there and smoking but didn’t make the connection to Churchills closing. That explains what was going on during our short voyage. Not sure how it makes sense to close Churchills but continue to allow smoking in the casino unless they don’t want people to gamble. We certainly won’t be playing if the area is as Smokey as it was on the Sapphire. It was just awful in there.

As usual punish others instead of enforcing the rules - not playing - no smoking,

Technically only gamblers are supposed to smoke in the casino but the staff doesn't say anything to those who just come in to smoke. I think it will take a sizable drop in casino revenue before anything changes.
