Packages and their relative value

Am I to assume that if we (UK passengers) wait until we board to book the Princess Plus fare package, we will only pay $65 AUD per day? Makes more sense than paying £50pd beforehand.

Check the fine print on your packages. The $AU version of plus doesn't include daily gratuities, as we pay them in an inclusive fare.

I just checked and you can upgrade your fare from Standard to Plus once onboard but only on days 1 and 2. We usually specify the Plus fare when booking the cruise. The only reason I can think of to leave it until you're onboard would be if you had a huge amount of onboard credit you wanted to use up.

You can also buy the standalone Plus drinks package onboard on the first day but that's a heck of a lot dearer than booking the Plus fare so don't get them mixed up!

Thanks, OzKiwiJJ

Decided to upgrade our package now, as there is a risk of a price rise, and our onboard credit is only $350 which is not huge.    (plus dare I say in April, our $100 onboard credit morphed into over $1000 in the casino, so I consider that the win covers most of it anyway.😉)

Thanks for explaining that - I understand it now. If we were to book the Premium instead of Standard the drinks packages are included. Makes

Just a quick one - does anyone know what the current price of the classic soda package is inAus on the Crown Princess?

Can't seem to find anything - only the "add on" which is in American dollars I think

Going by my personaliser, which is where you should see it listed under beverages, it is currently $27.42 per day. (US price is $14.99 plus 18% gratuity ($US17.69)).

Thanks for that - I did see it there - that's where I got the "add on" expensive drink package prices from in a previous post.
