KAKcruiser Posted Friday at 04:28 AM #1 Share Posted Friday at 04:28 AM I got an email today advertising a Breakfast with Santa. However, the sample menu turned up an error message. Does anyone know anything about this?

FOPMan Posted Friday at 01:39 PM #3 Share Posted Friday at 01:39 PM (edited) If you’re referring to breakfast with Santa aboard ship, it’s real and appears as an event you can book online under “dining” at $29.50 per person (it doesn’t indicate if Mariner discounts apply). It also does t specify whether it is Buffett, buffet, or table service. it DOES specify a cocoa cart. I’d expect there to be pretty much standard breakfast fare. There are opportunities for pictures. And, yes, I misspelled “Buffett.” It was. VERY intentional. Jimmy Buffett’s birthday was/is December 25th. Lyric excerpt from”Christmas in the Caribbean” “Sun-tanned children sleeping Hoping Santa will come through Christmas morning boy they're leaping Oh, it's Bubba's Birthday Mr Buffett's birthday too! Christmas in the Caribbean Snowbirds fill the air Christmas in the Caribbean Lots of presents everywhere We don't live in a hurry Send away for mistletoe Christmas in the Caribbean We got everything but snow.” Edited Friday at 01:40 PM by FOPMan
KAKcruiser Posted Friday at 02:24 PM Author #4 Share Posted Friday at 02:24 PM It is listed under "dining" but when you click on the sample menu link, you get an error message. I was wondering what the menu looked like.
Rare whogo Posted Saturday at 01:09 AM #5 Share Posted Saturday at 01:09 AM I have to warn you... It is a Santa impersonator. You can't get the real Santa for $29.50 per person. 2
Rare POA1 Posted Saturday at 05:28 AM #6 Share Posted Saturday at 05:28 AM The same thing happened with the 2024 Easter Brunch on the Rotterdam. The link never worked prior to sailing. The poor PG manager was trying to fill up the venue, and most everyone boarded on Good Friday, leaving him with 2 days to sell. I will warn you about Santa. He spends the whole night pounding glasses of milk and chomping on cookies. He just sits there at bteakfast, looking bloated and breaking wind. (It's pleasantly scented, like sugar cookies, but it's quite loud.)
Queen of Oakville Posted 15 hours ago #7 Share Posted 15 hours ago I also got an error message on the menu link. I thought it would be a fun xmas day thing to do but not for 30 bucks. I would hope that there is a special MDR breakfast on xmas day. I thought I saw menus somewhere online, but perhaps that was a paid event.
CvilleJane Posted 13 hours ago #8 Share Posted 13 hours ago I emailed Ship Services asking what the menu would be and where it would be held. They said that on the Rotterdam it would be held in Tamarind. It was only available on one morning at 8:30a for our cruise. And they sent me what the sample menu would be -- hopefully I've attached it. Still new to posting. Breakfast with Santa Sample Menu.pdf
Queen of Oakville Posted 12 hours ago #9 Share Posted 12 hours ago Thanks Cville! I was able to download the menu but it's honestly nothing special. The only reason to book this breakfast if you have little ones or really want to see Santa. I saw much better xmas day brunch menus, which I'm hoping are free 🙂
KAKcruiser Posted 12 hours ago Author #10 Share Posted 12 hours ago Thanks for the menu. This really is nothing special. I guess you are paying to see Santa Claus.
