newhips Posted June 25, 2004 #52 Share Posted June 25, 2004 You have to go to your profile and go to the edit options then go to the bottom of the page to miscellaneous and adjust the setting to the middle one - standard editor

truffles2 Posted June 25, 2004 #54 Share Posted June 25, 2004 Thanks. As you can see, I finally got it. Actually I used the last one, not the standard one.:D
Bookit Posted June 25, 2004 #55 Share Posted June 25, 2004 Agree with Folgy -- as one who uses the computer A LOT -- I find the "blue on blue" hard on the eyes (too bright). The rest -- I will wait until I'm more familiar to answer. (Hey, thanks for asking) Bookit
nosnobunny Posted June 25, 2004 #56 Share Posted June 25, 2004 A lot of you are saying your screen is blue on blue. What have I done wrong because mine here at work is white. Beth
suzym Posted June 25, 2004 #57 Share Posted June 25, 2004 Thanks Bob but there was nothing in there to edit. I give up I'll just go without a clock until I have more time to play with this. Thanks again Sue
banderboo Posted June 25, 2004 #58 Share Posted June 25, 2004 I like them ALOT. It's taken me a while to figure this out but before long I'll have it all figured out.
winncove Posted June 25, 2004 #59 Share Posted June 25, 2004 Someplace on your personal choices above I think you can choose the # of posts [no longer the correct word!] shown. Everytime I think I have something right, it doesn't work next time or I can't find it. Getting more & more "favorites! What's the difference in reply & "quick" reply? Just used "quick" & it didn't put it next to the one I was answering like I thought!
fajitapita Posted June 25, 2004 #60 Share Posted June 25, 2004
an anyone advise me on how to fix my countdown clock? Thanks Sue
Hi suzym... Click on User CP near the top of the page Click on Edit Signature under Control Panels Copy and paste the following into your signature (wherever you want it) <img src=http://escati.linkopp.net/cgi-bin/countdown.cgi?trgb=000000&srgb=00ff00&prgb=ff0000&cdt=2004;08;01;17;00;00&timezone=GMT-0700> You will need to change some of the numbers- change 08 to 09 (assuming you're doing this for your Alaska cruise), change 01 to 05, keep 17 (as you'll be leaving at 5:00), and my time zone is -0700 as I'm from California (adjust yours accordingly) Hope this helps... GypsyOBRN Posted June 26, 2004 #61 Share Posted June 26, 2004 and will love them more once I figure it all out! Great Job!!!
bec2629 Posted June 26, 2004 #62 Share Posted June 26, 2004 Love the search feature!! The colors are a strain on the eyes and sometimes the posts are too wide and I have to slide back and forth. Is there a way to set a preference for a different background color?
nosnobunny Posted June 26, 2004 #63 Share Posted June 26, 2004 Someone told me how to set your screen resolution so you don't have to scroll side to side. On your computer, go to your internet explorer control panel and select display. Once in there change your screen resolution to 1024 x 768. gemz Posted June 26, 2004 #64 Share Posted June 26, 2004 The style and everything's nice but I think there are some bugs in it. Like I have my signature all set up and ticked off in the options but it NEVER shows up! :(
VickiVSN Posted June 26, 2004 #65 Share Posted June 26, 2004 They are fast. The only draw back so far is a quick and easy way back to the where you were main board page after posting.
mammallama Posted June 26, 2004 #66 Share Posted June 26, 2004 Gemz--I see a picture in your signature, and several ships sailed. Do you have the viewing mode on? Can you see other peoples' signatures and pictures?

donnajo Posted June 26, 2004 #68 Share Posted June 26, 2004 The new boards are interesting, but I am not yet finding them as user friendly as the old ones. Time will tell! Donna
Host Kewlguy Posted June 26, 2004 #69 Share Posted June 26, 2004 We do not like them. Guess it will take time to adjust.
bUU Posted June 26, 2004 #70 Share Posted June 26, 2004 I'm finding them much better, much faster, much easier to navigate, and much easier to follow desired threads. The one thing that would make them even-better is if there was a way to differentiate between completely new threads and threads I've already decided I don't care to follow. There's probably a way to do that too, that I just don't know about.
FinelyCruising Posted June 26, 2004 #71 Share Posted June 26, 2004 I am still finding my way around on them, so right now I am a split decision on user friendly. But let's face it, one of the neatest things to do is to come to these boards, so I am very Happy it is here! :)
Sophie Posted June 26, 2004 #72 Share Posted June 26, 2004 I see a white background with the messages typed in black and the usernames in blue. I like it that way. Anyone else see theirs like that? :)

Bookit Posted June 26, 2004 #74 Share Posted June 26, 2004 Nosnowbunny, The text message background is a light blue, with vibrant blue text ... as appears on my computer. That is what I was referring to ... (not that 'lil ole Bookit wouldn't be "perfectly clear" on this. ;-} Also, Thanks for the tip about changing the resolution so that scrolling is not necessary! brn2crz Posted June 26, 2004 #75 Share Posted June 26, 2004 I just found something that I don't like.ON the other boards,on each specific "cruise Lines" board, they had links to the side for each ship.I liked being able to click on that if I wanted to see something specific about a ship someone was talking about.
