:D I really like it! :D

It has a load of new features! The search feature works really well. Although I come to these boards to commune with fellow cruise lovers, I come here to find info that I need for my future cruises. It was really hard to sift through everything on the old site. IMHO, accurate posting counts or blue ribbon status are not as important to my "user experience" on these boards as having an easy and flexible user interface, faster throughput and reduced frustration!!!

Thank you Laura & helpers! It's much more pleasant experience now!

Love the new boards. There are so many new features you can play with. :D

Cruisin' Patty, when you go to Explorer, make sure you don't close out AOL, just minimize. Log on to CC in Explorer, then close it out, maximize AOL and you should be able to log into CC. A few of my friends have had problems too and that's how they got in through AOL. I think the key is not to close out AOL - but just to minize and to make sure you LOG IN while in Explorer. Hope it works for you. :)

Love it, love it, love it. Back from working a week out of town and am
delighted with finding the change. Thanks, CC for really spiffing up the
boards. Look forward to playing around and learning more. CSW

I'm so excited. I also got to see my first smiley face. Now if I can just figure out how to do everything else that you all put in your posts. Well maybe in a week and some frustrating moments I will be putting lots of smiley faces in my replies.

Hi breal6, I see your countdown clock, here is a good explaination of what to do....... posted by someone who has helped others to work through these changes and am just passing it along.........

For those of you who are not seeing signatures or can't find the smilies, first go into User CP then Edit Options.

Under Thread Display Options, check the three boxes that allow you to see Signatures, Avatars and Images. If you don't want to see them, maybe because it takes too long to upload, then don't check them. These are your personal settings.

Farther down, under Miscellaneous, there is a drop down box with the downward pointing arrow. I chose Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing. This works great to add the smilies, change font type and color. :)

Once you've made the changes be sure to click on "Save Changes".

There are other options here, like setting your correct time zone, so check them out and you can personalize the options to best suit you. :D
Hi John! You posted just before me! How are Patty and you doing? Jason's graduation is tomorrow. Take care.
Congratulations to Jason! Patty and I are going to a graduation party today for twins, one of which she had in first grade. They're great kids and still made it a point to go over to chat with her any time they saw her in the halls right up through their Senior years.:)

Lot's of tears when she got home from her last day of school, Wednesday, laden with bouquets of flowers and gifts from this year's kids and parents of others she has had over the years.:o

This Summer won't be bad because she is always home for the Summer but next September will be the first one in 50 years she will not be going back to school.:( So, lot's of trips planned to keep her occupied right into November.;)

John-
Sounds great! Jason received a graduation gift and letter from his third grade teacher. She is really special and we've kept in touch. She left the school a few years ago and has two little boys she is caring for full time. I don't know if she will return to teaching (her hubby is a teacher), but if she does, a lot of kids will benefit!

After you finish posting scroll to the very top of the page. There you can click on "RCI" to get back to this message board, or "cruise lines p-z" to get back a little further or you can click on "Cruise Critic Message Boards" to get back to the very beginning of the boards.

And the answer to the original question is I like these boards a lot.

I like the new boards, except now I'm a new user and have only 3 posts instead of 100+. And where is the feature "My space," that used to let you see all your own postings and read the replies?? HELP!!

When you first click on your "User CP" button your subscribed threads that have new posts should show up.
