KathieKata & TonyaJune: How did you get the smilies into your message?
Everytime I have tried to use one it has gone to the title???
As you can see above.
You have to go to your profile and go to the edit options then go to the bottom of the page to miscellaneous and adjust the setting to the middle one - standard editor. :)

Agree with Folgy -- as one who uses the computer A LOT -- I find the "blue on blue" hard on the eyes (too bright).

The rest -- I will wait until I'm more familiar to answer. (Hey, thanks for asking)

Someplace on your personal choices above I think you can choose the # of posts [no longer the correct word!] shown. Everytime I think I have something right, it doesn't work next time or I can't find it. Getting more & more "favorites! What's the difference in reply & "quick" reply? Just used "quick" & it didn't put it next to the one I was answering like I thought!
an anyone advise me on how to fix my countdown clock? Thanks Sue
Hi suzym...

Click on User CP near the top of the page
Click on Edit Signature under Control Panels

Copy and paste the following into your signature (wherever you want it)
<img src=http://escati.linkopp.net/cgi-bin/countdown.cgi?trgb=000000&srgb=00ff00&prgb=ff0000&cdt=2004;08;01;17;00;00&timezone=GMT-0700>

You will need to change some of the numbers- change 08 to 09 (assuming you're doing this for your Alaska cruise), change 01 to 05, keep 17 (as you'll be leaving at 5:00), and my time zone is -0700 as I'm from California (adjust yours accordingly)

Hope this helps...

Love the search feature!! The colors are a strain on the eyes and sometimes the posts are too wide and I have to slide back and forth. Is there a way to set a preference for a different background color?

Someone told me how to set your screen resolution so you don't have to scroll side to side. On your computer, go to your internet explorer control panel and select display. Once in there change your screen resolution to 1024 x 768.

I'm finding them much better, much faster, much easier to navigate, and much easier to follow desired threads. The one thing that would make them even-better is if there was a way to differentiate between completely new threads and threads I've already decided I don't care to follow. There's probably a way to do that too, that I just don't know about.

Nosnowbunny,

The text message background is a light blue, with vibrant blue text ... as appears on my computer. That is what I was referring to ... (not that 'lil ole Bookit wouldn't be "perfectly clear" on this. ;-}

Also,

Thanks for the tip about changing the resolution so that scrolling is not necessary!

I just found something that I don't like.ON the other boards,on each specific "cruise Lines" board,they had links to the side for each ship.I liked being able to click on that if I wanted to see something specific about a ship someone was talking about.
