I am surprised that Princess Cruises would not have assessed this choice more thoroughly. There has to be some great choices out there; Martha Stewart is not one of them.

I just heard on the news that Ken Lay is much loved in Texas because of his very significant philanthropic work. If Princess decides to have one of their new ships sail from Texas, Lay may be a good candidate for Godfather, assuming of course he is out of jail by then. If so, this will mean he has paid his debt to society, been reintegrated into society, and is thus worthy of the honor, especially in light of the may good things he has apparently done.

Finally, someone has seen the light. The difference of course is in the charges that the two people were found guilty of.

But another public trial could deal a blow to the company and reverse the turnaround that it has made so far over the last year.Some legal experts believed it might be in Stewart's interest to settle the charges since she has still been able to wield considerable influence over her multimedia empire.The June 2003 SEC complaint — filed the same day Ms. Stewart was indicted — was stayed until criminal proceedings were completed. I don't know why June Allison's picture is in the piano bar, but it's not because she's the godmother of the Coral Princess. The godmother is the President of Panama. We were on the maiden voyage, but the christening was a few weeks after and we watched it on the ship's webcam.

I think Martha is esteemed enough to be godmother of a ship. she has accomplished great things for a woman. Did she use insider trading to make money, probably, in her position, I probably would have too, who wouldn't.

 

So the fact that it is illegal doesn't bother you?
