Is there a best time for the lowest air prices. I previously heard certain days they are lower, but can't remember. Thanks.

I've usually found prices to be lowest about 30-45 days out. Haven't noticed any difference based on the day of the week that you book!

Have you tried itasoftware.com. It is an interesting site, that won't allow you to book there, but it will lead you towards the answer of where and what days you can get the best deals on.

It won't matter what day of the week you purchase, but what days you fly can make a difference. Try for Tuedays and Wednesday's, avoid Monday's and Friday's. And stay over a Saturday night for the best fares.

With the price of oil being very unstable the time to buy is as soon as you can. DO NOT WAIT until 30 - 45 days out as you are almost assuring yourself of higher prices than if you buy more as soon as possible.
