Word has it that a Concierge Lounge is supposed to be added during its next scheduled dry dock – February 9, 2007! :) When are you thinking about sailing on her? Suzy B Posted September 7, 2006 #11 Share Posted September 7, 2006 What amenities are included in the Concierge Club service? http://www.royalcaribbean.com/customersupport/faq/stateroomInfoFaq.do;jsessionid=0000cHiIG7w-FRII2gRbDa2mJWN:10ktmeu5p#6 Diamond-level and above Crown & Anchor Society members and guests booked in the Grand Suites or above can now take advantage of the Concierge Club. Available on the Enchantment of the Seas® and all Voyager and Radiance-class ships, Concierge Club guests will receive this complimentary service that provides assistance with any special requests they may have while sailing. [interesting that RCCL hasn’t updated their Web Site to include Freedom Class ships yet.] As a Concierge Club guest, you will be offered amenities and services not available to other guests including: A dedicated Concierge who is available to assist with anything you require Twenty-four-hour a day use of the Concierge Club Lounge** Continental breakfast every morning† and open bar & hors d'oeuvres every evening available in the Concierge Club Lounge Assistance with reservations for Portofino Italian restaurant & Chops Grille Steakhouse Assistance with Explorations! Bookings Assistance booking appointments for Salon or Spa treatments Priority tickets for the ice skating show Assistance with the arrangement of private parties Personalized Discover Shopping advice DVDs and CDs available to borrow during the Concierge’s hours Pre-ordering of your dinner wine Business services (faxing, copying, etc.) Also, read this thread, post #2: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=379969&highlight=Concierge+benefits The concierge club is a private lounge and access to it is restricted to those who have booked suites (junior suites do not count) or are Diamond or Diamond Plus Crown and Anchor members. The lounge provides continental breakfast in the morning and complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvresfrom about 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm. The conciergecan assist you in getting reservations to the alternative restaurants, tickets to the Ice Show on Voyager class ships, priority tender tickets, and priority debarkation luggage tags if you need them. He or she is also available to help you in other ways, just as a concierge at a hotel would do. DVDs are also available for loan if your suite has a DVD player. The concierge lounge has a cappucino machine, RCI online internet connections, and a pleasant and quiet retreat. Freedom of the Seas has separate lounges for Diamond members and for suite guests. Voyager and Freedomconcierge lounges are large and comfortably furnished interior rooms. The Diamond club on Freedom and the concierge lounge on Radiance class ships and those Vision class to which they have been added, are equally comfortable rooms with glorious views of the ocean. The lounges are a very nice benefit both for those who book suites and for those loyal passengers who have at least 10 previous cruise [credits] on RCI. Past passengers on Celebrity who have qualified for its highest level of Captain's Club membership, receive the benefits of RCI's diamond level membership. On occasion there are so many diamond and diamond plus members on a particular sailing that the line opens a satellite lounge, usually on the top level of the ship near the Viking Crown lounge. Hope this helps out. Take care, Suzy B

goldmom Posted September 7, 2006 #16 Share Posted September 7, 2006 I saw mentioned above that there is internet access in the Club. Is this free to guests or is it just an available station and you'd still have to pay for the minutes you use? We'll be on the Explorer, if that makes a difference. Thanks! CruisinMommas Posted September 7, 2006 #18 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Goldmom hi, will see you there. We loved the gs on the Enchantment. We used the lounge but not that much. We might make better use of it this time. From what I have read this is a very active and busy lounge.
janazaz Posted September 7, 2006 #19 Share Posted September 7, 2006 The question I have pertains to availability of bottled water and soft drinks in your Suite. Or, are these available only in the concierge lounge?
billsgal Posted September 7, 2006 #20 Share Posted September 7, 2006 janaazaz - there is bottled water and soda in your cabin fridge, but they are not free. If you get soda from the concierge lounge, that is complimentary. Hope this helps. I think the charge is $3 or $4 for water, and $1.50 plus 15% tax for each soft drink you use from your room fridge. The steward will ask you to sign a slip showing this purchase. The charge may be higher, as it's been about a year since we cruised RCI in a suite. goldmom Posted September 8, 2006 #21 Share Posted September 8, 2006 Billsgal- Thanks for the info on the internet. Cruisinmomma- You know we'll be seeing you in the Concierge Lounge on the Explorer! With early dinner though, we may have to stop in for an after dinner cocktail, but will definitely find time to use the lounge. Especially for my morning coffee.
