Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted September 15, 2006 #28 Share Posted September 15, 2006 John, Also do you mind if I copy it? I plan to make another calender for Christmas this year and that would make a good picture for one of the 12.

m2violin Posted September 15, 2006 #32 Share Posted September 15, 2006 :) I was on the Oosterdam with my mother for the Alaska Inner Passage 8/26-9/2. What did we like best about it? THE FOOD! My favorites were the Duck ala Orange, the Royal Dutch High Tea, the chocolate desserts, the soups, the appetizers, just about anything in the Lido, and the salmon dishes (especially the Salmon Cookout on the deck of the Lido pool -- fish brought in that morning absolutely fresh in Ketchikan). Our cabin steward, Aduan, who was the best of an outstanding crew. The consistent Service With A Smile we received throughout our cruise. The comfy beds -- like being rocked to sleep! Our verandah -- we got some good sightseeing there! The library hasn't been mentioned, but I liked that! The New York Times briefs delivered to our cabin every morning. The artwork throughout the ship -- the ms Oosterdam is truly a class act. And our wonderful fellow passengers -- we met some terrific people on board! This was a first cruise for both of us, so we can't compare the ms Oosterdam to any other ships -- but Mother and I had a great time.
