Sad day in Montreal

It was difficult to do the cruise doc dance yesterday after hearing of the shooting spree at a local college in downtown Montreal. It hurts when something like this hits so close to home. No terrorists here, no religious fanatics, just a troubled young man who left his mark on society. The outcome unfortunately left one student dead. Our hearts are with the young lady's family and all those injured young men and women and many others traumatized by this trajedy.

Yes a very sad day in our city...was just like Columbine all over again but here in Montreal....I missed it all as I flew out yesterday for Vancouver on my way to Bangkok...I knew it was big when it made it on CNN and then sent a reporter to Montreal...Tony in Vancouver enroute to Bangkok.

Thank goodness the police were more aggressive with this situation than they were in Columbine. Things could have been so much worse. I know this doesn't help the poor woman whose life is now lost or her family and friends. My heart goes out to them.
