Hi: I hope this question hasn't been asked -- if so, sorry. We are a group of 8 travelling 2 nights pre-cruise Dec 30-Jan 1. I would like to book 4 rooms with 2 double/queen beds each. I like the idea of using the resorts but also know Priceline doesn't guarantee 2 double/queen beds. I read that Hotwire could but I don't see the 'resort' section under their star rating. Does Hotwire not offer resorts? Thank you.

I got the Intercontinental for $90, for 7/4/11. (Return stay)

Also, bid separately for our arrival night. I wanted to try and hopefully get different hotels and I did. When we arrive we are at the Hilton Caribe. Can't wait to compare them!

Nancy,

I'm at Radisson Ambassador on 6/25 and Sheraton Old San Juan on 7/3 before and after Serenade.

Did you mean 7/4 or 7/3?

I just won the Intercontinental San Juan for $120 June 23-26/11. Does anyone know how long it takes to get into OSJ from here? And is it easy to do without renting a car? Thanks!

the no 5 bus stops outside the Hotel

$0.75 run every 20 mins.

takes about 40 mins,

rather use bus than car rental if you only want to go into Old City, less hassle

I just won Intercontinental San Juan for a pre-cruise stay April 26 -28th.

I wanted any resort in the San juan area. I was hoping for Marriot Stellaris but I am more than happy with the intercontinental.

I started at $90 and bid in $5.00 increments adding zones without resorts. $115 was going to be my top bid....since I'm very far out I figured I would give up at $115 and start over next month.....

I got Marriot Stelaris last year for the same stay and I bid for it very far out.....oh well Intercontinental it is!!!!!!

Have you noticed that usually one hotel or the other will be winning the bids for awhile? I've been watching on here too for winning bids because I want the Marriott Stellaris for Dec. 9. Love the Condado beach area. Guess I will wait awhile longer to bid as most of the winning bids have been for the Intercontinental.

I've never stayed at the Intercontinental but it looks like a nice hotel.

Is La Concha still a 4* and Marriott Stellaris a resort on Priceline?

Is La Concha coming up at all on PL? I see the Marriott often as a winning bid.

We won the Marriott this past March for $115 as a resort. Has this changed?

We need a few days March, 2012 and it's probably too early to bid......want to wait to see what winning bids are turning up first.

Marty

I just won La Cocha for $125 per night for two nights (4/26/12 & 4/27/12) on Priceline.

Did you bid 4 stars or resorts to get this win?

I bid 4 star.

The first bid I put in was for $100 which was rejected. They asked me to up to $125 which I did and wound up winning this resort.

So frustrated with Priceline. I am now up to 115.00 a night and with that down to a 3 1/2 star, for two rooms, for one night....Saturday the 17th. I've only put in zone 8 for San Juan. Not sure about adding another zone as I'm not familiar with what is where?

I even tried bidding under a different email address, using my name instead of my husband's name, and using a different credit card, etc...still nothing.

Anyone use Hotwire?

We have purchased a hotel room in San Juan from Hotwire. Usually they are just a little bit more than Priceline but with a little research you can usually figure out which hotel you are getting. I would definitely look at Hotwire for your dates.

Priceline seems to only allow bidding per room. There are 3 of us, and we need the room to have two beds. Is there a way, on priceline, to search with this criteria, please? Thanks to any who can help. :)

Oh... searching for San Juan... 4/5-6/2012. :)

There is no way to bid for two beds on Priceline. Some people have called the hotel after winning and requested two beds but Priceline does not guarantee this. You might want to try Hotwire, they will take up to 4 people on a reservation for a room.
