Krazy Kruizers Posted October 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2006 I was reading what you said about the Pinnacle on another thread. You mentioned that on the Statendam the price went up to $30 on September 29th - a couple of days before it should have gone up. Did you know about the price going to be increased before the cruise from the thread here? If so -- did you question anyone - Hotel Manager - Pinnacle Grill Manager -- as to why the Statendam raised the price before they should have?? garydm Posted October 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2006 Kraz-I replied on the other thread. I think they did it at this point as they had a bunch of people coming on board and it was easier to just go with the $30 rather than change it. We did not eat in the Pinnacle, with the exception of one breakfast. Gary
oma&opa Posted October 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2006 Does that also cost $30 ???
sail7seas Posted October 4, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2006 Breakfast in Pinnacle is available only for guests in "PS" and "S" cabins. There is no additional charge for it.
garydm Posted October 4, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2006 It was also available on this voyage for "in transit" passengers on the changeover day. Gary
oma&opa Posted October 4, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 4, 2006 We have an SA on the Amsterdam. Breakfast in the Pinnacle ??? Have never seen this in any literature -- not doubting you, but wonder how we would have known.

I called Ship Services on Sep. 29 to make PC reservations and got them @ $20.00.. Was told that it was the day @ that price..
tjcox9 Posted October 4, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 4, 2006 for garydm Is this available to ALL intransit passengers at no cost? Or were you referring only to suite passengers? Just curious as that situation is coming up quickly for us. And is this true of all the ships as the ships don't always seem to have consistency in a variety of things.
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 4, 2006 Author #9 Share Posted October 4, 2006 On the Amsterdam -- we had wonderful breakfast specials every day!!! Have not had them offered on other ships.
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 4, 2006 Author #10 Share Posted October 4, 2006 As far as I know, only suite guests can use the Pinnacle for breakfast on intransit days -- have never seen anyone there but suite guests -- many times we have eaten there alone. garydm Posted October 4, 2006 #11 Share Posted October 4, 2006 On the Statendam cruise last week, the hotel manager in the "in-transit" briefing stated the breakfast was available to all in transit passengers on that day. There were only about 30 of us. We were in an S, but there was no restriction. Our table mates were not in an S. I don't know if breakfast was available to S passengers on the other days, as no one advised us that it was and we used the Lido each day. Krazy Kruizers Posted October 4, 2006 Author #12 Share Posted October 4, 2006 When we were on our back-to-back cruises on the Statendam in June, no suite passengers got a letter nor were they told by our concierge that the Pinnacle was open for breakfast for suite passengers. Having sailed on other HAL ships since they re-instated this perk, we knew we could have breakfast there. The first week we were the only ones there. The second week, one other couple stopped in a couple of times.
KAKcruiser Posted October 4, 2006 #13 Share Posted October 4, 2006 Is the breakfast for suite passengers on the Amsterdam available in the Pinnacle or Kings Room? In the past I believe it was in the Kings Room but that would be great if it was in the Pinnacle.
