We'll I have been on here for over an hour and there is only 4 computers working again in this room...just unbeliveable that they don't maintain this room that well at all.

The plan for this morning is to go and have an early breakfast, do one last laundry bag and hand it in and then start packing so I am not so last minute about today/tonight and go to my Hot Stone Massage at 11:00am with Anthony in the Lotus Spa....really looking forward to that one!

The ship will be extremely busy today as our last sea day and of course people leaving there accounts to be settled on the last day as well.

We will be passing thru the Straights of Messina at approx. 11:00am this morning if anyone cares to view on the Ship's Cruise Cam.

More to follow later today from the Golden Princess at Sea.

Forgot to mention earlier that today is the first day that we have a weather forecast that isn't consistent with the entire 24 nights being on here. The forecast is calling for mostly cloudy periods and a chance of showers all day.

The forecast for our arrival tomorrow in Civitavecchia is calling for showers as well.

If anyone is still up, the sunride is happening now if you care to view it on the Cruise Cam.

More to follow later today from the Golden Princess.

Thanks for posting the pictures lindy2. I agree, it's nice to put a face to the person "we are cruising" with.:D

Tony, I absolutely enjoy your "live froms". You are so descriptive, but you also give your honest opinion about the things you do. You tell it like it is and don't give us a sugar-coated, snow job. I'm looking forward to your future postings.

First Cruise  can hardly wait:D

Karen thank you for the kind words....

I really prefer being brutally honest whether it is good or bad and let people decide what is best for them.

The Captain just came on the P.A. to tell us that we are currently passing Calabria and also Sicily right now in case you would like to view it on the Cruise Cam.

Our pilot will be onboard in 1 hours time to make the crossing thru the Straights of Messina and then after 12 noon back into open waters towards Civitavecchia.

The weather is completely different than what they were forecasting it is currently sunny and warm and the seas are very calm.

Just finsihed breakfast and had my two poached eggs and english muffins with coffee and OJ and going to be going up to my cabin to attempt to start packing a little.

More to follow later today from the Golden Princess enroute to Civitaveechia, Italy.

Hi Tony,

Just like everyone else, I wanted to thank you for your postings. I was on the Golden last Sept. for its European Explorer sailing and I absolutely loved the ship! The attendants were great and so was the cruise staff. I just wish the Golden goes back to Europe soon (we love cruising in Europe). We're booked on the Emerald for its Grand Med sailing next year. Cant wait for that. Hope we enjoy it as much as we enjoyed the Golden.

Will miss your postings when you disembark tomorrow!

Take care.

Hi on this very cold Florida morning. It's only 43 here. Brrrrrrrrrrrr....can't take much of this weather. I'll take warm mediterranean rain any day. Off to work soon.

Did you really have coffee for breakfast? What happened to the espresso?

Arlene

They have been brewing a pot of very strong coffee for myself in the Dinning Room for breakfast each morning, therefore no need for espresso....

Hi Tony, did you use the Princess Transfers? or arrange something on your own?

I am doing the train from Civitavecchia to Fumicino Airport tomorrow morning and have to be one of the first pax off because I have an early flight at 9:40am.

The ship will arrange for the port agent to drive me to the train station to catch my train at 6:08am and takes approx. 1 hour 20 minutes.

The Princess website shows the Golden doing the Alaska Inside passage till Sept 07 then the Mexican Riviera from Oct till May 08? Are you sure the Golden will be in the Med next year? I would really prefer this ship than the Emerald and would switch in a heartbeat if I knew she'd be sailing in Europe next year. Enlighten me, please!

Thanks and enjoy your last day on the Golden...

We'll just came back from lunch and had the lasagna which was excellent and the Trio Sandwich with fries and cherry pie a la mode.

The hot stone massage was excellent with Anthony. He is from Montreal also how funny is that? Very good massage and technique and will be using him again when I am back onboard in January. He was so good I had to think of "former Dead Pets" just to get thru the entire 1 hour 15 minute session!

OK, so going back up to my cabnin and hit the "Office" this afternoon.

I having dinner tonight with two dealers that I have invited from the Casino to dine at my table!..should be a lot of fun!

More to follow later today from the Golden Princess at sea.

A page or so back you referred to yourself as "brutally honest". That is what they used to say about me at work (back when I was working).

So be it. Call it like it is. Fewer misunderstandings that way.

Have a safe journey.
