Laptops aboard RCCI AOS

Have heard that there is now in-room internet access on the AOS. Has anyone used their laptop onboard? What is the weekly fee? Was it a really slow connection? Do you need any special hookup for your laptop, or just a phone line connector? Is it worth the expense or is the Royal Carib Online computer lounge the better way to go if we want to stay connected to home? Alot of questions, I know, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The weekly fee is $100. You have to get the connection kit from the Guest Relations desk (when you sign up and pay the $100). The connection is very slow. The internet cafe price is $0.50 per minute

Thanks for the info. Anyone else with experience using a laptop onboard? Do you think it's really worth the 100 dollars??

The speed at the internet cafe was good. You could send a bunch of emails in 15 minutes and it would cost you only $7.50. If you buy two drinks at the 18th hole bar, you get a voucher for fifteen minutes for free.
